I wish I knew about a quality soldering station sooner!
I have been soldering with my $25 Weller for a long time and thought that worked pretty well....Wow! was I wrong. From the first time I turned this on I was impressed. The speed it heats up, the accuracy of the temp, and how well it holds that temp! Soldering just got a lot more enjoyable and easier. Seems well built and there are upgrades from the manufacturer. The main unit is much smaller than I imagined in person. I would fully recommend this to anyone that is going to solder more than once. I would also go so far as to say it is portable as well

Great soldering station for the money.
I ended up purchasing this soldering station after careful consideration since I'm new to electronics building and repair. My plug-in soldering iron was making things difficult so it was time for an upgrade. I spent quite a bit of time watching YouTube videos on soldering stations. I came across this station and found a video that went in-depth on the build quality of this and features that should be a part of every station. Its build quality coupled with its price point made the decision to purchase this easy. I'm not disappointed either. I've soldered several headers on Raspberry Pies with this and done a few repairs. So far the items I've saved by repairing them have made this unit pay for its self several times over. There are a few things to point out though. This station is feature-rich. There are a lot of options on it that the printed directions don't cover. It takes some time to get accustomed to all the settings and how to adjust them. After the learning curve, I now appreciate all the options and simplistic control knob. I haven't found how to change it from Celsius to Fahrenheit. I'm not sure if you can. I'm comfortable with using Celsius and can relate it to its approximate value in Fahrenheit. So this isn't a detractor for me.This doesn't come with a power cable. You'll need to purchase one if you don't have one laying about. Most people have a few tucked away from old laptops, PCs, or TVs they've since thrown out. As long as this thing lasts me for a few years I'll purchase another one of it craps out and I can't repair it.

Fabulous little soldering station… Exactly what I needed
If you were looking for a little portable soldering station that can really put the heat this is probably what you need. This little unit can pour out over 400° C without a problem. In fact it can get so hot you will eat up tips. I have been extremely impressed with its power and its ability to heat up very fast, and reheat from power save mode just as fast. In fact it’s so fast I don’t even notice that it went into power save mode.I was recently working on a large board with very heavy trace is for power MOSFETs some of the trace is being half an inch wide and this unit had no trouble getting the Solder to flow. In fact you have to watch your temperature to make sure you’re not too hot. It’s also nice that they send you a good selection of tips… I did dang one star because I wish that they are used the next size up of these style of tips. They are much easier to find than this smaller size It’s also nice that they send you a good selection of tips… I did ding one star because I wish that the iron used the next size up of these style of tips. They are much easier to find than this smaller size And there is a much larger Variety of styles.Overall though this is a fabulous little station, it doesn’t weigh almost anything, I’m able to carry it in my little go bag and not worry about it getting damaged or banged around. It just does what it needs to do and can be tweaked in so many ways you will go dizzy if you try to do to much with the settings. If you pair this with good solder, a good springloaded manual desoldering pump, some flux and some solder wick you should be able to handle almost anything.I recommend for 95% of everything you will ever do to use the general size quarter inch chisel tip. All the other tips that are available are neat but you can do most of what they can do with the standard chisel tip if you have the skills. Just find a bunch of all broken circuit boards and practice practice practice taking all the through hole and surface mount components off and then putting them back on. This is one of the best things you can do with old motherboards, video cards and hard drive controllers from back in the day. It will really build up your soldering skills. One thing to note, and it is mentioned in the description… The unit does not come with a power cord. However it uses a standard IEC style cord which most people already have. Just make sure you have one available so you can start using it right away.

KSGER T12 Soldering Station
I like the fact that the temperature to the iron can be controlled, based upon the type of solder being used. The only thing that was not included was a soldering iron stand for the iron, when it is not needed. I found a stand on-line that is not exactly designed for the system, but it serves the purpose. It would have been nice if a stand had been included with the system, specifically designed for it, even if the cost was slightly more to cover the cost of a stand. I'm very satisfied with the KSGER T12 Soldering Station.

Display dead four days past return date
I was loving my T12, then the display stopped working. At first toggling the power off and on again made the display work, but now it is just dead. Crazily, the iron still heats up and remains usable. Took an hour of wrangling with Amazon customer service before I was able to get a refund. I'm so disappointed, it is such a cool product but apparently of poor quality. Sigh...

more than adequate power delivered to the smallest tip!
I spend most of my life working on extremely small prototype electronics under a microscope. Obtaining a soldering iron with adequate heating power delivered to a tip that is small enough (~0.2-0.4mm) has been a real challenge.I noticed a good review and decided to give the KSGER T12 a try. I was completely amazed when the iron turned out to be the best I have worked with in at least 20 years. EVERYTHING is programmable with this version of the software( v2.1s -- might be very important), and unlike many other low cost iron kits, this one came with very usable, very solid assortment tips. Using some tip cleaning paste (like FS100 by Hakko) I can reliably and repeatably solder pads that were previously too just too small to tin with a hand tool.In short, I can recommend this without reservation. BTW: You'll need an IEC power cord and an iron stand -- ..
