Difficult and delicate to put together. Had to have someone (my hubby) who really knows how to install lighting do this. At one point it didn’t seem like it was working but had to Mcgyver a solution and now that it’s up, we’re loving it. We hard-wired this and it has a switch at the base. The long arm is very elegant but I don’t think it should be maneuvered too much.

There’s three different finishes. One knob is gold, one copper and one silver. It’s default is plug-in not hardwire - the description says opposite. Also there’s a lot of exposed silver screws.

Took weeks to arrive, but worth it. You will need to buy a cheap bracket for the top (long) light rod and affix the small vertical section of the rod to the wall if you’d like it to hang perfectly horizontal (it is too heavy). Also, could not wire it in because we are renting — boyfriend is handy and ran cord tracking to an outlet instead and installed smart bulbs. Other than that, looks fantastic and we get many compliments. Considering the fact that we chose to not pay for an expensive version of this lamp style, and also the fact that we had reasonable expectations for its overall quality, we are very happy with it.

The media could not be loaded. Ok, so, for the price and look, that is great. This is basically, dare I say Knock off of the Frances and Sons one which is over 300$ so come on ppl. Everything came right, no dents or unthreaded etc. Arrived within the shipping window. I was waiting to buy this for awhile because of the reviews. However, it popped up as Prime with free returns so...I hopped on it coz I could return no worries if there was a problem.So FIRST off, the instructions it came with are horrible but, just refer to the product page on Amazon for details. You don't need to look at the instructions btw to assemble. It's pretty self explanatory when it arrives. I am not an electrician or anything either... it is tricky to put the wires through the pieces tho, but, with patience and ingenuity I got them through. This is hardwired fyi. I wanted a plug in, so we cut up a plug, wired it (We did NOT wire the switch to it though, there was too much heat that generated so, we removed that for now) capped the wires to the plug wires, could it all up inside and voila. It was not super difficult. I actually think it's a pretty decent product. It is a 40w bulb.I think the past reviews, the company was just trying to work out the bugs. I do think it's pretty cool of the company to offer a plug in version... see the Q&A I wish I saw this BEFORE I ordered, I totally would have asked them to customize, which they offer to do if you request at checkout. Over all, I really like it. and saved 200$ from the other versions and saved on 60$ shipping for the other. Super stoked with it. I had no problems except the lame paper instructions that came with it lol but again, just refer to the specs on the Amazon product pic.

no cord and hard to handle

Great lamp. Adds a lot to the space, but I had to convert it from a cordless to corded lamp.

So, I have to say positive things about this lamp first. (1) It's super chic, and very well made. The lamp looks like the much more expensive options online and it appears to be well made and very sturdy. (2) It comes well packed and arrived with no damage to the lamp at all. But there were problems with the lamp that forced me to send it back. (1) The bracket to which the lamp fits has holes that do not line up with the holes pre-cut on the light housing; because of this the screws will not fit to secure the lamp to the bracket and thereby the wall. Wiring was easy, BUT again, unable to actually get the light to work because I couldn't connect it to the wall. When I purchased the lamp, the lightbulb required was said to be 40W max E26/27 bulb（Note：Bulb NOT Included). I paid $14.00 for lightbulbs to fit this special lamp, only to find that they do not take E26/E27 bulbs. After my return notes, they amended the listing, adding "-- uses a E12 light bulb of your choice(LED,CFL,Incandescent or halogen)". However, I don't know if this is accurate either. They've left the E26/E27 bulb information on the site, so it further complicates instructions on what you actually need. It's a shame that it didn't work because it definitely has the look we wanted. Returned the unit.
