Best ever. Best texture/feel, best result, and a minuscule amount goes a long way.
I have the sort of skin on my neck that gets easily irritated. I thought for years that I was just the type of guy who couldn’t shave every day and had to shave every other. I’d schedule important events around this premise.I tried dozens of different techniques and products. I had given up.Enter Taylor of Old Bond Street.I opted for the Jermyn Street Collection bc it was the only one that mentioned “for sensitive skin”.The TOBS site recommends using a dollop of the creme the size of an almond. If I used a dollop the size of an almond, I’d be able to shave all of borough Brooklyn’s faces. In all seriousness, the tiniest amount goes a very, very long way.The feel of this crème will put every other shave product you’ll ever try to shame. It’s great. It really froths up in a satisfying way and covers very well. Especially with a brush, but I often simply apply by hand and it’s more than adequate. It leaves an ultra smooth result after shaving. It does wonders for my skin, leaving no irritation, discomfort or problem areas (unless you create one with hasty shaving mechanics, but the product can’t be blamed for that.) I’ll add that this product seems to be more resilient in terms of saving my skin from any sort of razor discomfort, nicks or issues than any other I’ve used.It also seems to do a great job of retaining moisture, even in cold weather. It’s very evident in the areas I’ve shaved that the crème is helping to retain moisture, and it’s noticeable in the way my skin feels in those areas. (After showering/shaving, I use a toner (PCA Skin Nutrient Toner - I’ve loved this for years.) and Anthony Logistics All Purpose Moisturizer in summer. Something a little heavier in winter.)The scent… I like this scent. My wife likes this scent. I think it’s pleasant. I’m sure there’s an element of subjectivity, but I think it’s objectively very nice. It definitely retains the scent and can be noticed later in the day. (Another reason to use a small amount.)Coming from someone who works around hospital operating rooms and sterile environments, I am very “fragrance-averse”. I find it embarrassing when people can smell you any farther away than if they’re giving you a hug. I do not want to leave a scent as I walk past people, and I don’t want people to notice it when I enter a room.I think this leaves as much of a scent as I would want. It’s noticeable early in the day if you’re very close, and it fades as the day goes on.So. TL:DR… it’s the best crème you can buy to shave with, it’s great for sensitive skin, and it smells nice.

Awesome lather, smells great. Amazing product
Best shave soap I've ever used! I got a sample of this some years back and danced around it with other shave soaps and finally pulled the trigger and ordered it! Just as amazing now as the sample was! Smelled amazing and left my skin close to squeaky clean after shaving but still let the razor glide over it. It did seem a little dry do I had to add a decent amount of water to the shave bowl but when I got the right consistency it was a great shave!! 10/10 recommend!! Also get the spray aftershave and the gel aftershave!! You wont be disappointed! Now too try their other scents!

Great shaving cream, doesn't last as long as it used to
I have been buying this for years, and the consistency of the product has changed over time. The first container back in 2021 or 2022 contained product that was very firm, almost like a bar of soap, I had to wet the shaving brush and swirl it around to pick up enough product to generate lather. That container lasted a very long time. But now the product is very light and foamy, like cake icing. It is soft enough that my shaving brush literally scoops it up. More product is required per shave, so it is used up MUCH more quickly. So not only is there less product, the price just continues to rise :/

I Highly Recommend Taylor of Old Bond Street Shaving Cream
I used to use a shaving cream from another famous company, but they fell from grace and I decided to give Taylor of Old Bond Street a try. I'm VERY glad I did, because their shaving creams are excellent! I've used two different scents so far; Sandalwood and Oud.It obtains a VERY rich lather with very little cream, which is a must for me because I have a thick beard so I need to shave daily. This has helped prevent razor burns. A much purchase if you want a great shave!

After Trying Five of the Scents
I’ve tried five of the Taylor of Old Bond Street scents - coconut, almond, grapefruit, royal forest and rose - and all of them provide a rich, creamy lather and, as expected, a frictionless shave. In terms of scent, the coconut is by far the best of that group. The smell actually evokes vanilla a bit more for me than coconut but whatever, it’s quite pleasant and by itself would merit 5 stars.Next is the almond, which definitely smells as labeled. Very nice and also, by itself, is worthy of five stars. The grapefruit, while seeming an odd citrus choice - lime or orange would be more conventional - is true to its description. It smells like a freshly sliced grapefruit. Unexpected and a nice change of pace. A four star entryAnd then there’s the royal forest. Which smells like….nothing. Nothing at all. Not pine, not sandalwood, or cedar wood, or sage, or anything herbal. Nothing. I don’t get it. Two stars and that’s because of the lather and shave. Finally, fifth place out of five, is the rose scent. It smells like something but not rose. And not particularly pleasant, though certainly not offensive. Just not rosy. Indeterminate. Again, two stars. Will report back after trying others.

The easy choice for a great shave.
I use this stuff to shave my head using a beaver brush and a ceramic bowl. This whips up very nicely to that yogurt consistency you are looking for when you want a clean shave. You need only 1/2 tsp of the cream to whip up to shave your entire face and head combined. A little goes quite a long way! If you have sensitive skin this will help! Whether you are shaving with one blade or five this product works extremely well and helps to keep razor burn at a minimum. I will definitely be purchasing this from now on.
