good
This is a heavy built unit. It works great when wired according to the included instructions. I used an after market hose clamp after removing the included one and screw because it did not seem good enough. Some reviews say it makes a sound when activated but the one I received was silent. The reviews are all over the place on the recommended flasher for this unit. My vehicle is custom wired and I switched from OEM lights to LED lights. The flasher you need is CEC unit EF33RL. For LED or combination of lights this one will work, I know because I bought about three flashers before I found one that would work. The secret is getting a flasher with three terminals, that are labeled X, L, and P. AND has an extra ground wire coming out of it. Wire it so X is the incoming power source, L goes to your lights, P goes to the blue wire coming from this turn signal switch and the extra ground wire to ground. This allows the internal brain on the flasher to operate regardless of whether you have LED or incandescent or a combination of bulbs. AND makes the indicator in this signal switch to operate as it should.

Works Great but Had Issues with Install
This unit is good enough for the money and the intended function, and I now have flashers as well as a turn signal. I installed it on my baja bug, which previously had a simple three way switch wired up for the turn signal. It does work well, but....The biggest issue with this unit is the mounting clamp. It was too long for my steering column, and when I cut it back to fit I couldn't get the end re-threaded into the worm gear on the side of the unit where it would fit against the steering column. After trying to work it back into the clamp feed slot, it eventually bent, perforated and broke off. Luckily I had an extra 3 inch hose clamp from the hardware store; after loosening the screws on the worm drive cover, I was able to work the end of new hose clamp inside and feed it all the way through to the exit slot. Then I screwed the cover down again and just tightened the clamp onto the steering column (not using the turn signals tightening screw- just the new clamps own tightening screw). I think this actually works better than the unit's clamp would have.My other issue came from how my car is wired. The unit has a good diagram for how to wire up to your lights, but my car already had a flasher installed and was wired to simple three way switch. So basically I was wiring this up as a simple three way switch as well (different than the diagram). The biggest question was how to connect the blue wire, which illuminates the bulb on the turn signal. I ended up wiring black to power, yellow and green to the left and right signal lights (previously wired to the flasher), then I wired the brown and orange wires together to the blue wire (brown and orange are connected internally with yellow and green; I think it goes yellow & orange are together, and green and brown are together.. not sure.. you'll see it in the directions). This jumps power to the bulb only when the either the turn signals or the flasher signal is activated. Otherwise, if the blue is wired up as instructed, the bulb was always illuminated (in my car, anyways; your vehicle may be different). Pretty simple, but it took me a bit to figure it out since it was different than the unit's instructions.Anyway- I definitely recommend this unit but suggest that you get a different clamp to use for mounting the turn signal unit and be prepared to deviate from the instructions if you are replacing an existing turn signal.

I wanted to start this review with the opening line from the Byrds song you know to every thing turn turn but I will refrain from doing that & yes I know it is from the Bible. Yes I know from Psalms. No not the product - the song. Yes I remember when it first came out. No not the Psalm the song. Yes I know that makes me an oldie too - some things get better with age. Watch that I'm old not hearing impaired. This is not a light weight "tin-ish" kind of product it is a cast but heavier than what is called a pot metal so it appears as if it will hold up to constant usage. The lever moves easily and has a positive feel to it when moved in all directions. It also features flashers by pulling out the red knob they cancel by moving the lever either direction that movement is also very fluid and their is nothing that feels as if it is catching or binding up the way some seem to do. The wiring diagram worked fine , no issues as in some reviews for similar products. Their is a hose clamp type of attachment which was just a bit short for my situation but it was easy to replace with a longer - stainless steel clamp. I can not comment on it's durability yet but so far so good. I know there are probably higher quality units available but with them comes a much higher price this one has a good value for product ratio and I am pleased with this purchase. Shipping on this item was - yawn - well it got here eventually. : )

Nice switch
Works great. Same complaint as most, with the clamp. Had to replace with a different one. Length was a little long which I would have cut down. I gave it that one extra turn so it would stay put and it stripped. It actually was a blessing. I replaced a 3 way switch and couldn’t be happier. I would definitely recommend this item. I suggestion would be to hold up where you want to put it, mark it and tape the rest of the column so it doesn’t get scratched. One suggestion to manufacturers would be to put a longer wire shield on wires so it will go up under the dash.

Hazard light switch failed after minimal use.
Installed this on my golf cart, which I drive a few times a year. I run the hazards on public roads. After maybe a dozen times the plunger fell out of the switch body while I was driving. Its not that expensive. Obviously you get what you pay for. Whats most annoying is having to wire in a new one.

Perfect replacement switch for my custom 1949 Ford truck.
I bought it to replace the old busted one on my classic truck. I had to read all the size dimensions to find the one that would fit in my truck. This fit my truck and works great. I’m very happy and have no regrets. Good quality and value.

Quality switch
I bought this to replace a similar switch after I started blowing fuses. Turns out that one had an internal defect causing the issue. This appears well made and the case is all metal as advertised. Was easy to install for me as the wiring matched what I had.

Can't get the indicator light on the switch body to light up .Either the lights work or the indicator works. May be the wrong blinker relay. Instructions don't tell me what to use mine looks just like their picture
