Although very informative, this book was not an easy read. But, I would still recommend it.

A fascinating work on the Black Madonna's impact in our religious and mystical traditions
This is probably one of the better books available regarding the phenomenon of the numerous apparitions of black virgins throughout the world. Ean Begg gives a solid background connecting the cult of the Black Madonna to ancient traditions and mythology. This is a good place to start doing your own research on the subject, because if you read this book is because the subject has somehow arrived at your door and has piqued your curiosity for whatever reason, and this is a fascinating study of the psychological and mystical implications that these beautiful black virgins have in the evolution of humanity's consciousness.

The Vatican are trying to destroy her. They BLEACHED her at Chartres, France! I was there September 1, 2017.
The Vatican Bleached the Black Madonna at Chartres, France!!!!! They are afraid of her. They now call her there "Lady of the Pillar". I was there on September 1, 2017. They are trying to destroy her.

I like how I'm only about half way thru the book and it's full of facts that the POPE Vatican has been keeping secret since day one of CHRISTIANITY!!!

Good reading, but avoid the Kindle edition
I purchased the Kindle edition of this book, so I recommend you not to do the same. It shows up so small (both in the Kindle device and in my notebook, using Kindle App) that I have to use a magnifying glass to read it. Go straight to the paper edition, so you will not be frustrated as I was. It's a good book, however, with lots of good information on the myths and facts related to the Black Virgin cult. Worthy of a reading, for sure.
