I also was about to leave a 1 star review because I thought my control unit was broken like the other 1 star reviewers, but it wasn't actually broken. It goes to sleep after being turned on, and then doesn't respond to the controls. But if you read the very first sentence in the user manual it actually says to press and hold the M button for 3 seconds when the display comes on and it will unlock the control panel. I'm guessing this is a safety feature to prevent accidentally lowering or raising unexpectedly? Once I figured that out the desk is perfect, great quality and value.From the instruction manual:"Activate the System: Touch the screen. The “---” will appears on the display. Then, press and hold the “M” button for 3 seconds. The current height will display, and you can start operating the system."

I rarely leave reviews.... But I want to warn others of this product and manufacture VonHaus.I was hopeful that the other customers just received a rare defective product. However to my dismay, I received a defective product. The control panel only works once to lower or raise the desk. After the panel goes into sleep mode the panel does not respond/work. The power cord has to be unplugged for at lest 10 seconds and then plugged back in to use the motor to raise or lower the desk. I contacted the manufacture 5 times and they would not help me at all. They kept saying they couldn't help me. All I was asking was to be sent a new controller and power adapter. After over a week of frustration I am sending this piece of junk back. I even contacted their management about this issue but never received another email from them. At this point, I wouldn't keep this product if they gave the desk frame to me now! Lesson learned here.Please, please, save yourself time and frustration and DO NOT order from this vendor. Their products may look less expensive than other similar desk frames, but it is not worth your time!I hope I save you from the same frustration I've experienced, too!

The cheapest frame on Amazon! Great price. They get the job done. The legs are sturdy and motor has not slipped yet. Waited to review because I wanted to make sure it was honest. Good price and quality. I paired my legs with an IKEA table top.

I was 50/50 on this desk frame, but after examining all reviews and pictures decided to pull a trigger and buy one. Got the box 📦 to my door a day earlier than estimated. Carry the box upstairs to assemble, it’s pretty hefty.Open the box. My first impression: It’s a damn steal for this price! Quickly unpack all the parts.- Paint ✔️ Quality is perfect- Parts fit ✔️ Perfect everything aligns nicely, no issues fitting parts together- Motor ✔️ Works like a charm. I can barely hear sweet low key hum.- Remote control ✔️ Works perfect. Don’t believe 1 star reviews. The unit goes to sleep and locks itself. Press on the panel. Rest your finger on letter “M” and it will unlock.For $179 I paid for this desk frame it is the cheapest on Amazon yet it would easily rival some of the standing desks in $500 range.I’ve been plagued with bad posture and mid back pain for the past 2 years. I recently read a book “Deskbound” by Kelly Starett. He recommended switching to Standing desk for improving posture, getting rid of backpain, and strengthening ligaments and tissues responsible for keeping body upright.Worked for 1 day - it was a torture and I felt tired at the end of the day, but the next day my back pain improved and annoying knot in my right foot was gone!If you are on the fence simply because it has a few 1 star reviews (100% due to operator error) and it is the cheapest (wrong perception of quality) I’d say go ahead and get one while it is still underpriced. You won’t regret it.A few notes to the seller:1. Put better pictures The once you have don’t show how good the frame is.2. Add an infographic showing how to operate remote control.3. Add a video to your listing showing assembly and individual parts of the desk frame Last, but not least. I’m not sure if you are making any profit on these desk, but huge thanks for making this available at this price. I feel like I am on a good path to finally heal my mid- back pain. Well made and sturdy. Easy to put together. The only problem i've had is that it is 73" at it's tallest and i need a taller chair so my arms can go across and not up.For everyone leaving reviews about "unplugging it and plugging it back in to make it work"....if you read the manual it has this great feature where you have to hold the "M" button for 3 seconds to adjust the desk to prevent accidental use (such as children playing with it etc).

Like - Price, looks decent, is sturdy, easy to assembleDislike - Extremely Heavy - issue if moving frequently (maybe offer wheels as an attachment??)Cant comment on longevity yet as have had this only for 2 weeks

I'm very pleased so far, especially for the price. All of the metal components are nice and beefy and well finished. The frame is very sturdy and the motor doesn't seem to have any issues lifting ~50ish lbs. It's surprisingly quiet. The height range is perfect for me and I'm 6'1". My initial expectation was that I would just use the up and down buttons to manually move the desk but I've found the preset heights to be super convenient. Yes, the control panel isn't the most intuitive, but I think 99% of the issues people are having is from not reading the manual. It does go to sleep and you have to press the appropriate button for longer than most people expect to get it to wake up. Overall, I'd say buy it while you still can at a decent price.

The desk is sturdy. The motor slips out of place and basically it doesn’t work. The keypad has to be unplugged and plugged back in every time I need to adjust the desk. I just spent days ordering pieces (desktop, keyboard tray, monitor arm) just for it not to work once I put it together.
