CD arrived in time and in very good condition as stated. I was about to purchase the issue from 2005 with the blue cover and the photo of the model taken from the original drawing. Then I saw this 2016 issue from Pink Floyd records with original cover and mini gate fold LP replica so had to have it.CD contains a detailed booklet of photo's of the model from the original drawing. Many thanks W Mckenny.

CAREFUL WITH THAT AXE, MAN.
How rare to still be able to get this early Pink Floyd on audio cassette! And at a price that was comparable to the cost of this LP when it first came out all those years ago; the cd price for these early Floyd gems is vastly inflated; I'm lucky I can still play tapes (unless my machine chews them up), and the sound quality on this one is excellent...along with the music. A lot better than the bloated rubbish that's Pink Floyd today.

This replaced my old vinyl copy and sounds wonderful having been remastered
This replaced my old vinyl copy and sounds wonderful having been remastered.A glorious edgy mixture of Sid, spacey sounds and raw PF at the beginning of their career.

From cover art in the $0.99 cent bin to Floydian
Back when Pink Floyd was not yet the band they would become, this collection was a gateway album. From Arnold Layne to Bike, this album explores early Pink Floyd as almost a pop band, with just a little progressive psychedelia thrown in, to give it some me power. A well rounded entry point

Una raccolta per quei tempi particolare, con Arnold Layne che era uscita solo come singolo e Careful with that axe Eugene che era uscita solo live...

Superb overview of early Pink Floyd.
This album was available very cheaply on vinyl from the "Music For Pleasure" label in the uk, in the 70's. Everyone I knew (apart from me) had a copy back then! After seeing the superb "Nick Mason's Saucerful of Secrets" playing live in Perth I decided to get a copy, as much of the material was played by Nick Mason's band during the concert. Guy Pratt even mentioned the album in an introduction to "The Nile Song". The album is far better than I remembered it, with a great selection of early PINK FLOYD tracks, including some from the soundtrack albums that I have never bought. Well worth the money, even if it is not "half price" any more!

Excellent intro to early Pink Floyd.
I bought this album upon its release on vinyl beck in the late '60s early '70s and back then I only bought it because the only song on it I didn't have was Roger Waters' beautiful and ethereal "Julia Dream",the same goes for this CD."Julia Dream" never appeared on "Piper at the Gates of Dawn","Saucerful of Secrets" or "Umma Gumma" .Relics is a "best of" these 3 releases and as for "Julia Dream",I'm not quite sure, because I don't have it on any of my original vinyl from back in the day.Having said all that, this CD is a great intro to their earliest releases and really is worth buying just to have "Julia Dream" on your playlist IMHO the song is that fabulous.Songs such as "See Emily Play","Arnold Layne","Bike","Interstellar Overdrive" and "Paintbox" are all classics and I would imaging that anyone who buys this release and doesn't have their first 2 or 3 releases, will likely go and buy the full length albums upon hearing this excellent CD.
