Perfection?
I purchased just the UHMWPE cord which is exactly as described. It lights up like a string of Christmas lights when a white or red headlamp shines on it (I don't have a green light). I also tested using a black (ultraviolet) light. The reflective tracers did not appear to light up under the black light; however, the green color of the cord itself fluoresced so brightly that the reflected light from the tracers probably just blended in. The polyester sheath is evenly and tightly applied making the cord a little stiffer than the average 3mm utility cord even though its only the advertised 2.44 mm in diameter. I prefer the slightly stiffer hand as it contributes to easier knot tying. Also, without the polyester sheath, UHMWPE is slippery stuff that would allow knots to slip and fail. With the polyester sheath, not only is the cord UV resistant; but, figure eight, triple fisherman bends, Blake's hitches and Prusik knots are all rock solid.I'm at a loss to say anything negative about this cord. In fact, I'm a little perplexed by a few of the critical reviews. Almost everyone that gave less than 5 stars did so because the cord failed to meet a requirement that the cord is not specified to meet. (i.e. it's too small, it's too light, it doesn't phosphoresce).UHMWPE is an amazing fiber. It's used in heavy duty winches because it's extremely strong, light and impervious to most chemicals. Unlike nylon, it stretches very little. Its slipperiness and knot holding ability present the most important challenges precluding more widespread use. The polyester sheath appears to solve those problems. So, I think Tent Tools is onto something. If they made it, I would also buy non-reflective cord of this type from them (rather than plain 100% nylon/polyester cord). Ideally, I'd like to see 50', 100' and 500' lengths in 2.44 mm and larger diameters and in a couple more common colors.

Great quality - buy from Tent Tools!
Really nice line and Adjusters. Using this kit to make guylines for my kayaks while on the roof. Will attach carabiners so I can clip to the hood loop on my Jeep, and clip to the Kayak handle, then adjust tension for a road trip! The rope is very nicely made, with double strands of reflective tape woven in. I didn't get a measurement of the width (it is small), and there is no load rating, but I took 8" of it and swung all 190lbs of me around from a rafter hook. The color is very bright and sharp, and has a nice pop against the background. Yet to test reflectivity - Will find out in a day on my camping trip.Aluminum guyline adjusters are machined well, and have a nice protective coating. Coating is a little slick, but line holds well when pulled taught. Will see how it holds up to 65mph interstates when I leave out.Overall, a very nice kit. I gave it 5 stars because for it's intended use (tent guy lines) it would be amazing. I cannot knock any points off because I am going off label with it's usage.

Looks nice. Feels nice.
This is a pretty good looking set of parts each of the adjusters are really well made and are very light weight. The cordage is pretty nice and is adequate. I ended up splitting the cord in six segments and attached It to my Hammock fly. It did seem like I got shorted may be a foot of cord but it could have been my measurements skills. LOL. I’m going to be camping for the first time this weekend since getting this product so we’ll see how it really works in the dark and outdoors. I’m going to be using the built-in adjusters on my fly and not using the included ones in the set but I do have future plans for them on one of my tents.

Just use cord; learn a few knots. All these clever bits of hardware exist only to baffle your know-it buddy.
I bought this? Never used it. I just spent three months traveling trekking, about half my nights in a tent or tarp. Here's what I know for certain. String. Just string. Parachute cord; not the loose stuff, the better stuff-- This string is okay but only if tripping over guylines is a major issue and everyone is using flashlights. Other than that: just string/cord.I had some of those 9-thingies and some tension adjusters--plastic came with the tent. Never used them. NEVER. Not for the tent, the tarp, attaching gear, hanging clothes lines, tying my bivy sleeping roll to my pack, not for tying my pack to a roller cart. Just string, a bowline, sometimes a Swiss Alpine knot, square knots. I used the small, but better quality carabiners. To attach a line from my tarp or tent to a stake, I'd just make a loop or two flip it upside down put it over the stake and maybe adjust it. That's it. I never needed to use a truckers hitch, but I use 'em for making sure my kayaks aren't going to leave my car top.

Great Guyline - Very Reflective
This was the second type of reflective guyline-paracord I purchased. The first one was a 100ft length of 3.5mm cord. Very reflective but somewhat bigger in diameter than I thought and really too big for my lightweight backpacking use. I may be splitting hairs...but while a good product too bulky. After researching, I determined I wanted around 2mm and found Tent Tools Guyline. 50ft was just the right length I wanted, and when I got it...it was exactly the diameter I imagined it would be. I have not put it to use yet, but after taking a picture with two other reflective cordage, this one was the MOST reflective if the 3. I'm very happy with it and don't expect any issues in use. I don't see the confusion "Tent Tools Guyline Adjuster Kit - 50ft Reflective Tent Rope with 10 Aluminum Tensioners" however they
Did not come with 10 tensioners as clearly stated in the listing. Emailed company and they sent a response saying I had ordered the wrong item and there was some confusion in the listing...I don't see the confusion "Tent Tools Guyline Adjuster Kit - 50ft Reflective Tent Rope with 10 Aluminum Tensioners" however they made good for it and sent the tensioners a couple of days later. I would have given a 5 if not for the confusion with their listing. The lines glow really bright and the tensioners are well made.....I look forward to not stumbling over my tent lines in the dark.
