Worked like a charm. Wish the seller had enclosed screws as well. Locking latch is great unlike some comments. May be they didn't figure it out that a small push button needs to be pressed to open.

Works great! Keeps water out and was easy to install. Piece of advice would be to make sure you install this first and then slide the radio/cage into it. If you don’t the faceplate won’t fit or attach to the radio. I learned the hard way and had to redo the install.

I'm using this Pyle water resistant stereo cover on the front of a Large Plastic Tool box with a Car Stereo and Pyle 6 1/2 inch speakers mounted to the sides. This cover protects the front of the radio and makes the stereo face accessible without opening the box. The stereo display is still visible when the cover is closed. It makes a tight seal and I would consider it splash proof, it really finishes the project nicely. More about the box: The box is battery or DC powered using 10AH LiFePo battery. The charging is done using a 25 watt solar panel roughly the same size as the tool box. It can also be charged using a lighter cord or a 3 Amp AC charger. The box also supplies 2 USB charging ports and a 12 Volt Lighter socket. I also keep a small 110 volt 150 watt inverter in the box in case I need AC power in remote locations. This is great for camping, tailgating, remote work sites, field use, etc. There is even room for other items in the box. I purchased everything for this project on Amazon.

This was an exact match for what i replaced. Pretty positive it is the same brand i bought years ago. This one that i just installed looks fine, but the hinge is loose/sloppy and cheap feeling. I’m sure it will work ok.

I had one of these on my boat for about 4 years. The hinge is flimsy and cracked pretty quickly but it was still useable. It does a pretty decent job keeping water off your radio even when spraying it with the hose. I did notice a spot where water had partially leaked in through a screw hole but not enough to cause damage. I just recently relocated the radio so I ordered a new cover, hopefully the mew one works for me just as well as the last. I don’t think I would recommend this for any sort of high dollar head unit but for my application it was fine

Looks good straight out of the box, fairly chunky appearance but should clear any controls underneath, includes a sticky back foam gasket. Note it doesn't say waterproof on the box, it is water resistant, In my opinion is will probably keep splashes off your stereo but very little else. The hinge has an ingenious spring mechanism inside (Well it would be if it actually worked, the tension is zero, I have tried increasing the tension myself and the spring bends, just lift it by hand), there is a flexible rubber gasket on the face which should not lose its shape easily due to it not actually touching the cover (not sealing) when closed! Not sure what is meant by a support shelf as this is just a cover although the picture on the box shows the twin control type mounting and the instructions show you what to cut away to turn it into a DIN type, mine came as the DIN type already. as mentioned rain and light splashing will probably not get in, and the final mount position for me will be stored under cover.
