Good quality cast iron casserole that will last a lifetime.Weight: 4kgWeight with lid: 6kgWidth at top: 10 inches (26cm)Width including handles: 12¾ inches (32.5cm)Depth of pan (internal): 4¾ inches (12cm)Height, including lid: 7 inches (18cm)Wall thickness: 0.197 inches (5mm)Material: Cast Iron.This casserole is well made and a very handsome and traditional design.After seasoning the pan and lid with a low heat and vegetable oil (to be safe I seasoned mine three times, increasing the heat on each occasion) the casserole is ready to use with no fear of the cast iron cracking.I have used it on the gas stove, and also in the oven at at temperature of 250° C.Because the heat is dissipated through the thick base and walls it cooks very evenly.It's perfect for all types of cooking, and I particularly like it for cooking the most perfect sourdough bread.Because of its size it can be used to cook a wide variety of dishes from around the world, including jams and preserves, popcorn, soups and stews, and if you enjoy Korean food you can easily cook a whole cat (or a small dog) without cutting it up first.After each use it should be cleaned with hot water only. Do not scrub with an abrasive scourer or you will remove the oil coating that protects the pan from rusting and gives it non-stick properties. Then, simply dry with a soft towel and wipe the pan with a small amount of cooking oil which will keep it in pristine condition.I store mine in the oven, and can highly recommended this product to anyone who enjoys cooking quality food with quality utensils.

As the name suggests it’s solid , damn heavy , lid even more heavy . But this weight is needed for long hours of cooking for some specific dishes I guess . I bought it to bake sour dough breads but I feel it’s too big and heavy for my 40 litre oven . If ur oven is bigger then it may fit well. I will have to keep it in the lower rack else the handle of the lid will touch the elements on the top . So I may not be able to use it for the purpose I bought . Plus since it’s too heavy, moving it in and out of the oven may be very tough. It’s superb for stove top but not practical for medium size or small otgs . Since the product was good i decided to retain it for stove top use even though I can’t use it in the oven . Wish it was a tad bit lighter .

Received the pack today in a carton which was torn and not strong enough for the item. The delivery boy told it had reached in this condition. The was no inner packing. A bubble packing or at least a paper packing would have solved the purpose. The item didn't get damaged as it's a sturdy product. Though heavy, the thickness is less (around 2mm)than other cast iron utensils(3mm) . Pre seasoning was not good enough, so had to repeat.The photo with lid is after seasoning. Will review after use.

I have been a happy customer of Rock 10.5" skillet. So when i saw that they have introduced a dutch oven for a fraction of price of imported products, i immediately ordered. I am really happy with the quality of product and prompt timely delivery.The oven is built like a rock (pun unintended), sturdy and heavy. Though, it came with factory seasoning, i did a couple of coats of seasoning and cooked chicken Dum Biryani. it comes with a cast iron lid which fits the oven perfectly almost airtight. A pleasant surprise is that the lid perfectly fits my old rock skillet too.

ROCK brand is known for its good quality. wall thickness is not uniform, I prefer to return for QC passed product.though products are value for money. dimension quality is very disappointing. several product i bought from ROCK but this is most worst product i had received.

Well it’s jumbo, strong utensils, sincere advise if you are using non-stick & delecate utensils in past, take very very serious attention, IT will burn your fingers without mercy

I have been using it for over a month now. And I am loving it. I use it for baking bread and cakes. It heats evenly and everything comes out perfectly baked. I only wish it was not priced so high, which is I think the case with all products on amazon these days.

The product is very sturdy and comparatively way less expensive than manufacturers of the same item by other leading brands. I look forward to many years of fulfilling my passion of cooking with the help of this Dutch oven. Moreover, I am of the opinion that promoting local brands of good quality boosts these industries and promises opportunities to other ancillary services. That said, I would however request the department involved in the shipping of these products to improve their packaging quality and standards. I was lucky not to have received a damaged good on account of it being a cast iron product.
