Fantastic rake
This is the weirdest brush I've ever owned for my dog. I've got a little Shiba and I've tried every kind of brush going, we have a slicker, a groomi and a different style of undercoat rake. I find the groomi takes a lot of undercoat out and the dog doesn't seem to mind it but I worry that it's damaging her coat so I wanted to try something different, enter this brush. It runs through her hair and feels like absolutely nothing is happening but it pulls out tons of hair especially around her head and hindquarters. It's the only brush that she'll let me use easily on her belly and thick neck hair. I like the combination of using this along with the slicker to deshed her when she's blowing her coat. It's so weird because it feels like it's doing nothing and there's no resistance because it just glides through the hair but tons of hair comes out so it works really well. Also for the record I think it's obvious from the photos but this is not the kind of brush that cuts hair, it's got completely smooth rounded bristles that spin. Run it through your own hair and you'll see what I mean. I see a lot of people talking about how you should never use a furminator on a shiba but this isn't the brush there talking about, it's a very specific brush made by that company that's not suitable for shibas, this one is great for double coated dogs.

Finally a Good Brush for Labradors!
I was unsure about buying this as the reviews were all longer hair dogs and I needed it for my Labrador and I wondered if the teeth were too wide. He has a thick double coat and sensitive skin and have tried so many brushes and combs including the original Furminator and a Groomi which made his skin bleed and broke the coat. This one though leaves his coat very soft and only got rid of hair that was already dead and was especially good for his rear area and the teeth arent sharp. And it was cheaper than other brushes as well which was good.

Good for my cats
Effective for grooming my medium long hair cats. It removes the undercoat very easily & doesn't tug at their fur. It helps keep their fur in good condition & I would recommend it if you have a pet.

Reliable quality from Furminator
Excellent quality, seems built to last however it is in my opinion too large to use on a cat, even a large cat despite the manufacturer's recommendation of use for both dogs and cats.
