At first glance it looks and feels flimsy. But after you sue it a few times you realize it's just what you need for the job. My only knock against it is the sharp edges, but I have yet to cut myself or feel in danger. The price is right, too. If you want to make empanadas, this is the tool for it.

First place I look to find this Durable and easy to use

The design is good - it is useful to have a built-in cutter to make the dough circles the right size to use in the mold. Also, the internal volume of the mold is large so you can easily fill the pastry to the maximum allowed by the dough circles. However, the steel could be a little thicker. This would make the mold a little heavier. The mold isn't particularly flimsy and I realize that putting more metal in the design would drive the cost up with perhaps not much benefit. I would probably have attached the two handles with TIG welding and eliminate the screws.

The wife is a wonderful chef and wanted this to add to her arsenal of cooking implements. She stated it's working extremely well and has zero complaints about it's construction or ease of useOverall, she recommends this product and is happy we purchased it.

Worked fine for 2 meals, then the hinge broke apart the third time we used it. It's a cheap delicate attachment method doomed to break under light usage.This was after the 30 day return period so I contacted the seller directly asking them to stand behind their product and send me a replacement.Instead they stood behind Amazon policy and said no, deal with Amazon Front Desk, which simply cited the 30 day return period being expired.Only buy this if you like to throw money away. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Use it a few times does what it says I actually can't find it anymore I think I lost it.

Use to struggle sealing my empanadas and with this little gadget - IT IS SO EASY. Slightly run your wet finger along the edge of the dough then close the press. You get beautiful empanadas each time.
