Well worth the price for a great product.
These Sardines are of great quality and have a consistent taste and smell. They are more expensive than other sardines sold by different companies but it is well worth the price just because you are getting clean and higher quality food. The sardines are prepared traditionally (head and tail cut removed), handpacked in pure sunflower oil with added sea salt.No unnecessary added ingredients added like the many competitors use. They smell fresh, look fresh and best of all taste fresh. Everything seems consistent with what is being advertised by the company, I will continue to purchase from them as long as they keep consistent with their products. As a consumer I am fine with paying a higher amount for a greater product.Pay the extra couple of dollars and buy quality food while supporting a company looking to give its consumers quality products.Well done!

Adequate sardines
So excited to get these because I am not a Costco member, (so to get the Season brand from Costco, I have to ask friends to pick it up.) They are firm, dark meat. I was not thrilled with the taste right off, not bad, just not very interesting. I like that they have skin & bones to get the nutrients. They gave me gas - burping for hours. So next day I did a taste comparison with the Season brand.Oil: Season is olive oil. VERY light olive oil, you wouldn't know it is from olives. But not badSA: oil is heavy, not good taste; For the taste comparison, I rinsed off each SA sardine.Texture: SA is flakey & firm - more like if you had leftover fish you cooked yourself. The Season ones are mushier.Flavor: SA is bland, a little heavy, like the dark meat on fresh tuna. Season is lighter, tastier.Salting didn't help much, but both tasted better with salt and lemon juice. The Season ones really perked up.Mayonnaise added: Mushed each up separately wtih salt & lemon juice. Season was good, SA better, but still not great.Have 11 cans left of the SA, so will rinse them well, and mush them up for sandwich filling. Give some to the dog. BTW, yesterday, dog wouldn't touch them, until I broke off a bit and shoved it onto her tongue. Then she realized what it was and wanted it. That tells me that the smell is not what it should be.I just don't understand how a reviewer a few months ago found these to be delicious. They are just adequate if you have nothing else in the house to eat, and you have the time to rinse them & doctor them up. If you like hot sauce, that might help.

Good Choice
Tasty, beautifully canned and packaged sardines. They are relatively large fish in oil. A satisfying buy--especially while under "stay-at-home" Corvid19 quarantine. But very good anytime.

Yummy sardines
Larger traditional sardines. Buttery flavor and light flaking texture. These are good. Cheap enough. I am comparing to the Wild Planet sardines that are a different species of fish and those are more dry and tough texture than these.

Great sardines!
I think these are the some of the best sardines around. I like Bar Harbor a lot too, but these are great, especially for pizza and pasta dishes.

Portuguese sardines!
What a delightful change of pace for a salad, lunch or appetizer. These aren’t your grandpa’s sardines!
