eHealthSource Big Oversized Digital Red LED Calendar Clock with Day and Date - Shelf or Wall Mount (16 Inch, Red)

This is the second over-sized calendar clock I have purchased for the elderly. The first one went to my 90 year old father who suffered a severe loss of vision, following a stroke. When he was in stroke rehab, all of the nurses commented on it. They wished they had one for every patient on the floor.I bought a second one for the living room in my dad's new board-and-care home. Everyone there has low vision, it seems. And life can be so disorienting when you don't know what time it is. This is the perfect clock. It has a real calming effect on old people when they realize that they can actually see it. The best part is that I can tell my dad that he has a doctor appointment on Tuesday - and he has a context to put it in because now he always knows the day, time and date.

I bought this for my 90 year old dad. If the clock is bumped even a little bit, the plug going into the clock must be defective and the clock goes back to zeros or loses power altogether. He has dementia, and doesn't know how to reset it. If he has no clock, he has no idea what time to go down to eat (he's in assisted living). Very disappointed that I can no longer return this. It was an expensive purchase for me is worthless if it won't work all of the time.

Great Clock. Easy to see. Love the dimming feature. I keep it on the lowest setting. Keeps time after power outage, no need to reset clock. The only issue is that the plug comes out easily. Have to keep it in a certain position and don't move clock or cord. Other than that, no complaints. Let's see if the clock lasts long. Had similar clock by a different company. I gave it to my mother. It is over 3 yrs old. Hope this one is just as sturdy

If you have an older relative who can't see well and who can't remember what day it is or what time it is this is the greatest device ever.My wife now wants one for us.

Besides the large display, I needed a clock that clearly indicated if it was AM or PM. From the picture on Amazon, I thought that this clock would work well for my application. Upon arrival, I was disappointed that the illuminated AM and PM text did Not show up well enough. The AM and PM headings are painted on the front screen in white paint. Unfortunately, the light bulbs behind the letters are NOT bright enough to sufficiently illuminate the letters. An easy manufacturing fix should they choose to correct this problem.

I got a nice looking plastic box. The clock did not come with an A/C adapter. I couldn't find a place where one would plug in. I'm returning the clock.

Warning! Warning! these large clocks are just plain garbage. this is my 3rd one in 4 months. one came out of box, defective. 2nd worked for less then 1 month. 3rd one quit working after 2 months. that is one month past the date to return. total junk, absolute ripoff by Amazon and eHealthsource. I am now cured of the urge to buy anything from Amazon. It appears that I have no recourse and have a total $45 loss! Warning! Warning!
