Different and Better than the rest!
UPDATE: I've had the original strand for well over 3 years, and live in the Pacific North West. They have been outside 24/7 the whole time. They turn on at dusk, and stay lit all the way until daylight. They are on my barn door, and even have been home to several cobwebs, with no detraction from their reliability. After about 4 yrs, the battery finally crapped out, so I replaced with another rechargable, and this strand STILL WORKS GREAT, and turns on every single night, in all kinds of weather. Best solar bang for you buck out there... and I've ordered 3 more strands with the same great quality! IT'S A WINNER!! (Original Review, several years ago:) GREAT deep saturated purple color when lit up!! I was really bowled over by these the first night they came on! The plastic flowers are a soft, rubbery plastic, not the hard brittle type. They were exactly as pictured, easy to put together and worked well straight out of the box. Only dink I would give them is the plastic solar collector and it's stand is pretty cheap quality. The wiring and lights seem better and more durable, but the collector and plastic stake are really cheap, and may not last as long as the actual light strand will. These are truly beautiful, and a deep saturated purple, which is very pleasant to look at. It show up well, but does not 'optically jar' your eyes like some of the bright white lights do - it's more subtle. Very happy with these, and would order more!

Pretty!! functional !!
These are so pretty!! I got these to hang around my screen room while camping at a music festival, and also to easily identify our camp in the dark, and they worked great, and were so lovely =) They made my trip even more magical!EDIT 11.25.14My last camping trip that I took these on (the 2nd time I used them), these weren't working :( I left the solar power source out to charge during the day and tried it again the following night, but to no avail. Not sure if I beat them up too much the first time (totally possible, because I was camping with a lot of people in tight quarters and the solar power source may have very well gotten stepped on or something), or if they were a lemon. BUT! the white ones of these that I purchased at the same time still worked. Might try buying one more set to see if it was just me or the product itself. Changing my review from 5 stars to 3 stars.

So cute on my Knockout rose bush
These are working fine. They worked as soon as I got them, and I put them on my pink knockout rose bush. I have a small area of my yard that is walled off and I plan on making it into a flower garden with fairy doors and lights. This was PERFECT. There was enough cord to put the solar panel in an area where it gets good sun, a few feet from the tree. As it got dark, the lights came off - it has 2 modes so you can have them blink or on continuous- I had mine blink. It stayed on from sundown until well after midnight - at least 4-5 hours. It's not too bright, but it's pretty. You can see it from my picture window in my kitchen. I'll be buying some more! The flowers are little like silicon? and just look lovely.

Wish they were working, they were great when lit
Purchased this 2nd set & When the lights were installed around my back yard fountain, they worked as intended. They really highlighted the waterfall, and I received many compliments from my daughters friends, as they hang out in the back yard. They loved them. However, they do not light up at all now? Removed them from fountain and checked battery & connections. All looked fine, so I placed them on my table which gets full sun with the switch in off position. Didn't touch for two days and when I turned switch on....nothing? I than put two AA batteries in place and only the string lighted very dimly. There's no damage to the solar panel. I believe it's a bad battery pack. Very disappointed that they're not working, they really looked good when working. Hope something can be done.

Beautiful but flimsy
These are quite bright and they work well. My only really complaint is that the wire is really thin which means if your dogs end up running through a string and breaking them it is going to be a frustrating hassle to fix. They are also kind of expensive in my opinion.

Such a fun light
Love this string of lights! I hung them on my balcony at my apartments. They are not a super bright light, just give off a light glow which is perfect. The lights make the petals a purple color and the middle of the flower is almost a pink/fuschia color. The lights are made from a soft plastic too which makes the light softer and just look very nice. My boyfriend even likes the way they look (he was not a huge fan when he found out I wanted purple flower lights on the balcony). The fact that they are solar powered makes them that much cooler! They come on around dusk and stay on for long into the night. The little solar panel comes with a stake attachment too which was appreciated!Update: It has been two months since I bought these lights and they now work when they want. Some nights they will be partially on, some nights there is no light at all... Very fun while they lasted. I live in San Diego, so I know it's not a light or weather damage issue.
