This arrived at the perfect time. We have had unseasonably warm weather and my dogs are both black and getting older so can't handle the heat so much anymore.I was looking for cooling suggestions and settled on this one because of the funky bones and paw design, which stands out from all the competition.The fact this one has a non toxic filling was crucial to me because I've read horror stories of dogs ingesting similar products with fatal outcomes.My dogs absolutely love it and go straight for it after a walk in the sun.It stops them panting really quickly too which shows the efficacy of the mat.Ive attached a couple of pictures of my dogs loving life on their cool mat.

I got the large for our dog and it seems a great size.Instructions mention the product works as soon as your pet puts pressure on it, so no need for fridge or freezer.I would recommend snipping your pets claws if they are long or sharp, as this may damage the mat. The materials have stayed strong for us, but i wouldn't take the risk with sharp claws or on a rough surface such as gravel.The mat did arrive slightly damp, but we have checked all over and there aren't any leaks, so maybe don't judge it as soon as you take it out of the box.Overall, our dog uses it pretty often on a warm day and night to cool down, so I am happy.

This is a heavy mat so I’m not worried about it slipping on our bare floors. I bought it for a Yorkshire terrier and it will be a good size for him, if he ever lays on it. He has been getting hot recently age and weight are a factor. I bought this to help him. Being a Yorkie he requires at least a thick cushion and a fleece blanket before he can lay down lol. After getting fed up walking around in on the floor I picked it up and put it on my window sill so I could clean. After washing the floor I went to put it back and my cat was sun worshiping layed on the mat. So it works. Bengal recommendation delivery was fine.

I have a Chow Chow puppy who obviously needs to keep cool. I bought this mat with trepidation but the price was extremely reasonable so I thought go for it. I put it down for her and almost immediately she went and lay on it !!! She loves it , she plonks herself down on it and breaths a sigh of relief. I cannot recommend this mat enough. There is no need to put it in the fridge ( how big must your fridge be though) unlike others for sale on here , a lot of which are far more expensive than this one. I have had mine for quite some time now so I know what I'm talking about, it's a permanent fixture in our house and shows no sign of wearing out or falling apart . Exceptional value for money.

When we bought this is was during the hot spell of last summer, the dog was panting and we thought this may help him stay cool.When it arrived we opened it up and laid it flat, the dog looked at it, sniffed it then went back to sitting in the shade panting. We tried putting it in his various favourite places, putting him on it, even sitting on it ourselves, nothing would get him interested. The cat on the other hand found it comfortable and is always sitting on it, so it now belongs to him.PROS:Was reasonably priced compared to others at the timeLarge enough for a medium sized dogStays cool for a long timeFolds up for storageCONS:Our dog wouldn't use it, obviously this will vary from pet to pet, our cat on the other hand loved it.TL;DR Stays cool and works well, if you can get your pet to use it.

Well it’s ok goes cold for a hour then heats up, my greyhound split it open first night, he put three claw marks straight thought it. If you have a dog that rakes up their bed then don’t bother it slices though to the gel really easy. Only way he can use it is when we are with him, it’s not safe to put in his cage when we are out as he rakes up his duvet in there. I’m sad because this was a great idea to keep him cool 😢

The box was a bit beaten up on arrival but the item seems durable and it is easy to clean (which you will want to do since my cats made several stinky faces once they'd had a sniff!). In true cat fashion, they don't sit on it, but it is cool to the touch so maybe one day they will work out that I lovingly purchased this for them to keep them cool in the summer! In the meantime, I will continue to dramatically and encouragingly pat the mat in front of them and repeatedly reassure them that it is safe to sit on it :P

Update. It started leaking after a month! I have an extremely anxious springer, who is a stress panter and she also overheats in this hot weather. These pads are invaluable for her. I have one in the car, after a run they cool her down quickly and regulate her temperature plus it seems to keep the panting at a minimum. She wouldn't lie on them at first, so just left them near where she sleeps and she now chooses to lie on them and gets off if gets cool.Would highly recommend. Plus I sit on the one on the sofa as its twice as big as the dog needs. Great product for price!
