Beautifully made, and the tibetan maroon colour goes well in my flat. Super comfy and supportive of my knees and ankles. The cover is removable if you need to wash it. Highly recommend I'm very happy with my purchase and its really well made.

I’m very happy with my new zabuton. I have a zafu from Basaho which transformed my practice, so I thought I’d treat myself to a zabuton too. It’s extremely well made and comfortable and I often just sit and read on it. But what I like the most is that it feels like a sacred space for me to sit in stillness on. Definitely worth buying it.

A good quality product

I've been looking for this kind of mat for quite some time and couldn't find it. Who new that the Zabuton is the keyword you need to know to find it :). It's almost perfect. Good quality material. You can sit comfortably. Well balanced design. Good for small exercise as well. What's important for me is the filling, not too hard and not to soft. Let's how it's going to ware off over the time.

Whilst I’ve not bought or used a zabuton before and don’t have much to compare it to I can tell you that this is a deffinately a well made product that does exactly what it is designed for and does it well. They quality of the product appears to be very good. The comfort (for me) is perfect. Having just made do with a yoga mat before purchasing this product, the difference is huge. The company, Basaho, claim to care about the enviromental imapct of there products and how they are manufactured. This is important to me and I have no reason to doubt their claims. I would highly recomend this product and would certainly consider purchasing other Basaho products again in the future!

I spent a long time considering this mat before purchasing it, as it seemed a bit of a luxury. That was a mistake: I should have bought one immediately. The mat is quite thick, and placed on a wooden floor gives very comfortable knees and ankles (I use a Burmese posture, not able to do a lotus, and sit for an hour or more). The cotton cover is a pleasant texture, and I like the colour (green in my case). The mat stays in place all the time; it is reasonably light to move around, but a bit thick to roll up and store: best for a fixed location. Lastly, it is just the right size: I fit comfortably on it with just enough extra space around me that there is a good feeling of being looked after. Definitely makes my meditation more pleasant.

Bought this as the last one i had got very lumpy, this at first was excellent no lumps, fairly thin but just right for me. However after washing (followed the labels instructions) its shrunk by a fair amount now the pillow can sit flat inside its cover. Very disappointed as i thought i had finally found a decent brand. I have attached the replacement covers sent to me from the seller but they all shrunk. in the photo the blue was washed at 30degC, the grey was washed at 20degC and the blue is the baseline unwashed one showing the shrinkage level (This also shrunk on a hand wash setting cold) Its clearly a design issue in which they either dont allow enough material for the shrinkage or the manufacuting process to cost save doesnt pre shrink the material. As mentioned i was initally really happy with the product but this is a killer for me as i need it to be washable as advertised. Update: after a bit of communication with the seller we were unable to find a solution for the cover issue apart from modifications to the internal cushion to allow it to fit the shrunked covers. They have offered me a refund for the trouble so im adding back 2 stars, as the customer service / good will is there, its just a shame they havent found a robust solution for this issue as i was initally really impressed with the product.

I like this mat. It has a removable cover made from hard wearing material, but the feel of it is good. I use a zafu cushion placed upon the mat, and the mat affords ample comfort and cushioning under crossed legs. Also it is a plain colour, there are no pretty patterns on it, no om symbols or anything like that. Now some of those mats look very attractive, but they are, or can be, a distraction, what orientation to assume or where to sit on it etc, etc. I like as little fuss as possible in order to meditate. This mat is conducive to that end.

fantastic mat. i use it for meditation and also for quiet yoga (i’m a short person). it gives support and is SO comfortable. and well stitched, too!

Ich habe nach einer Meditationsmatte gesucht, die ein Familienmitglied sich zu Weihnachten gewünscht hatte. Da ich so gar keine Ahnung hatte, hab ich mich informiert und bin auf diesen Hersteller gestoßen. Mit hat gefallen, dass der Bezug aus fester Baumwolle besteht, abnehm- und waschbar bei 30 Grad ist. Zudem ist die Füllung nicht aus irgendeiner Kunstfaser, sondern aus recycelter Wolle, die deutlich hochwertiger ist. Also hab ich die Matte in Felsgrau bestellt und gehofft, dass sie der Beschreibung entspricht. Sie war in Folie verpackt. Beim Auspacken gab es keinen unangenehmen Geruch. Der Stoff ist von schwerer Qualität, die Nähte sauber verarbeitet. Die Matte ist etwa 5 cm dick und nicht so weich, dass sie auf Druck nachgeben würde. Ich fand es angenehm darauf zu sitzen. Das Geschenk kam super an, auch die Farbe Felsgrau. Nach einiger Zeit Benutzung kam die Rückmeldung, dass die Matte zum Meditieren super geeignet ist. FAZIT Von uns gibt es eine klare Kaufempfehlung. Die Beschreibung entspricht voll und ganz der erhaltenen Ware.

The cover is thick and durable and it's the perfect size for sitting in the different recommended positions. It's heavy and doesn't slide around as you change positions.
