It took a little practice to get used to the slipperiness of these tongs and it has been well worth the effort. At first I was disappointed in the product but the manufacturer (excellent customer service by the way) suggested holding the tongs a bit closer to the tips (the handles are very long) for more control and better weight balance of the food. This really worked and I still have the benefit of extra long handles when needed. They are bright and cheery looking on my utensil rack too.It is good to know that there are people out there producing something that is non toxic and well worth the extra $ when you consider the cost of research and development of a new product. Purity of materials is important to me especially in light of the yoga mat materials in "you know who's bread".

Looks nice, but very poor at gripping small items. And if the food has any oil on it, it has difficulty holding on to it. Disappointing for such a price - now just enougher item filling a drawer.
