I don't know how we would know if it really kills the germs 🤷🏿♀️ but the purple light stays on for the 15 mins as stated and the charge last, this is my 3rd week since I bought it and only charge it once and I still haven't charged it yet. I feel the moisture in the brush though. I hope that help.
