It's preetier than I imagined it.The only problem is that it is indeed a non-ticking clock - but the dial of the seconds runs with a sound of well, a "quiet" clock.This means that you hear the engine of the clock working loud straight withought a break like in a ticking clock.If you have strong sleep it won't bother you. But if you are light sleeper then put it in your livingroom or at big open space.

I bought this clock for my bathroom. It seemed perfect - a nice grass green color, cool number style, and markings for the minutes. I needed a silent "no-tick" clock because my old one ticked so loudly and echoed off the tile in the bathroom that I could hear it in my bedroom. Too distracting when I'm falling asleep.For the first week, this clock was "ultra silent" as advertised. Then over the next two weeks, it developed a loud motorized noise. Not a "tick" but a whirring sound, which turned into a chugging noise, like gears grinding. The clock worked fine but I couldn't stand the sound. I returned it.

While it doesn't tick, it is loud in a quiet room.

Great clock! Works well and is totally silent. The color is perfect in the room. It is a good clock for little ones who are learning to tell time.

UPDATE: 9 months later clock no linger works. It is either slow, fast, or stops all together. Take clock off the wall and it pretebds like it wants to work again, but fails within a few hours. I am dissapointed as I really love thr asthetics of the clock.OLD REVIEW: Beautiful clock, high quality. BUT you must decide if you would rather a ticking clock or this clock that makes a small mechanical motor noise. It is not silent. With that being said. I LOVE the clock and the noise it makes is very minimal.

The clock was just as described! Super quiet which is perfect as I hung it up in my tiny office and any ticking noise would be amplified. No noise!

Extremely cheap piece of junk. Minute and hour hands touch,causing clock to bind and not keep time. This clock does not tick but is by no means silent. It makes a lout whirring noise when running. I ended up purchasing the 10" version of this clock after I returned this one and it had the same problem. Lesson learned do yourself a favor and don't purchase anything made by Just Nile because their quality control is certainly non existent.

Perfect clock for our nursery. It looks just like I expected and doesn't make a sound. It's perfect!
