This is not a bad sink drain but the magnetic stopper mechanism is kind of wonky. Sometimes it seals the basin and sometime it has to be pushed down by hand a fraction of an inch to make the seal. Another issue is when you want to drain the sink, you never know exactly how high the stopper will rise (and thus how quickly it will drain). I purchased six of these to redo the all my bathroom sinks. One of things I learned is, remove the blue vinyl protective film that is over the chrome before installing the drain. On the very first one I put in, I left the film on so I wouldn't mar or scratch the chrome. The film on the stopper comes off fairly easy, but the film over the drain part is rolled under the its lip. Once the drain pipe is tightened down it is extremely difficult to remove the protective film and you'll likely end up with small pieces showing around the edge unless you loosen the drain pipe then remove the film.

The unit arrived quickly. It was easy to install correctly. The stopper is free to move. The rod doesn't have a positive attachment to the stopper. Therefore, the stopper moves up and allows drainage, but it does not seal correctly. The operator has to press down on the stopper in order to get a good seal and to prevent leakage. The plunger movement in relation to the stopper movement varies. When the plunger is pressed completely down, the stopper movement varies between 1 inch upwards movement and 1/2 inch movement. Works to get water out of drain but is not a good overall system.

The no overflow design is what I needed, however the threads were too short for my ceramic sink thickness, while leaving the lower rubber seal on. So I removed it and added GE Silicon around the flat washer and lower locking nut, plus thread tape. Plumbers putty at top sink drain seal. No leaks. Also the magnetic drain stopper as mentioned in other reviews, does not fully seat, and needs to be tapped down just a little with finger. Once tapped down the drain stopper can then start to leak slowly too, unless held down slightly. I believe the magnet is pulling it off at slight angle.

I love this set. It's easy to install it, and since the drain is magnetic, it's easy to lift up and clean. We do a vinegar and baking soda clean out every few months, and this system is perfect for that. Nothing to disconnect each time, as we had do with previous setups. I'd recommend!

This was a difficult part to find (most drains with the ball are for sinks with overflow).I had to cut the ball post because it was too close to the wall (it was easy to cut with a hacksaw and clean up with a grinder).So far it works well!

The no clog design is a magnet and it don't work, it won't go up and down with the plunger, wast of money, I returned it.

After 1 month’s usage, so far works perfectly. Good price. I plan to purchase again for my other bathrooms that require a drain without overflow opening. This solves problem of bad smell due to funky soap scum trapped in the overflow opening.

Would have been fantastic. Too bad I’m too stupid to read sizes. This was too small for the sink I had just installed.
