Goblin Quest - Softcover: A game of fatal incompetence

So this game is great if you want to play a slap stick short 3 to 4 hour mission where the players just end up dying in the end, all over a quest to make the perfect egg sandwich or whatever silly mission you wish to send them on. The games very easy to learn and there is a web site that gives you character sheets to print out for the players. The other fun part is that the players can draw and color on the sheets while they game. lol The point of this game is just to have fun and do stupid silly stuff.

A great role playing system that will have you rolling on the floor laughing. Goblin quest will throw you into senerios you never considered and just as quickly kill your goblins in ways that might not make sense. I've ran games that involved fighting fairies and one where the players had to kidnap Dwayne Johnson. It is only limited by your imagination, so as long as everyone is willing to open up and try anything, it is guaranteed to be a fun, stupid adventure for everyone

I'm in my 30's and have been playing D&D off and on since i was 14. Now it is even harder to keep a game going every week and build your characters. Goblin quest is a great way to experience a night of role playing fun with your friends without obligation of a weekly campaign. It's fun, its simple, and i hope to play it for years to come!

Such a fun game! It's like improv troop meets D&D. GREAT for zoom gaming during covid. I only gave it 4 instead of 5 stars because I wish you could download the character sheets. It's hard to make copies from the book

I got this for my fourteen years old son who's getting into RPGs but still a kid who doesn't do anything in a serious way. It's perfect for him and although I haven't played in many years it's not hard to understand.

as long as you have a sense of humor and are flexible, this is a great game to play with kids. takes a couple hours.

We make a few changes to the rules for my 5 year old to play but he absolutely loves it.

Hilarious fun game for one shots. We had the quest to make rainbow ice cream. 11 goblins died in the process.

I like the concept . It brings memories of Paranoia where loosing characters is acceptable and the norm .This is definitely great for one night entertainment and not for role playing campaigns .One starts with 5 Goblins doing daft and simple plots each one being replaced by the next one in line as they die .How can that be fun ? well it is , but only in the company of people who like a laugh , not rule lawyers or people who can not loose .They will hate this .The basic rules are simple with a lot of daft ideas so if you want to play a goblin hero armed with an egg whisk trying to steal a rocs egg to cook for the chiefs lunch then this is the game for you
