Mice (Complete Pet Owner's Manuals) Paperback – October 1, 2001

Wonderful book, it made me understand my mouse Salem much better. It doesn't recomend the best place to get mice though, for that I would reccomend looking on petfinder or searching mouse breeders, because the mouse will already be tamed. (The American Rat and Mouse Association website does not help).It politely reccomeds the best options when it comes to keeping mice, but also solutions for when one is forced to go with the worst ones. Only with keeping a male, call into an exotic vet office to see if they can neuter him, it will make your mouse less stinky and it will not produce mouse babies if kept company by a female.That's all, and this is probably the best mouse book ever out there.

I bought this book when I got my first mice and although it doesn't offer a lot that can't be found elsewhere on the internet, the information is well organized with tips about all areas of mouse-ownership and some nice how-tos. The reason I really like this book though is that there is a chapter on health that offers a decent amount of detail about what to look for and a handy table. Not intended for information about breeding, although still includes a chapter on reproduction which is nice. Recommend as a basic.

This is possibly the most informative book for mice I've found (and mind you, I've gotten and been disappointed by a lot of books) but this book has a little medical knowledge, a little pet-care knowledge, and a lot of easy-to-read and easy-to-find topics! My favorite book I've gotten concerning pet mice so far - and it was cheap!

A useful and detailed book which covers the subject well.

I am new to keeping pet mice (we rescued baby white footed mice and hand fed them). The mice are nearly three months old and this book was helpful in keeping my pets well cared for.

We own several pet move and this book is excellent. It has a lot of scientific information and is also very accessible for people of all ages.

I bought this book having been given a mouse for a birthday present by my sister in law. The last time I had owned a mouse was as a teenager over 40 years ago & I wanted to make sure I had remembered all I need to know.Mice, A Complete Pet Owners Manual, lives up to its title & gives lots of useful information in a very clear format with lots of excellent photos and beautiful drawings.Whether you are a novice owner, or want know more about these facinating little creatures, this book is ideal. Everything is set out clearly in an easy to read format.The chapter on Understanding Your Mouse is particularly good .Whilst this book is not meant for the younger reader, any parent whose child wants a mouse will find this most useful.All in all, I would highly recommend this book, if you only buy one book on mice make it this one.

The book arrived in good time and was well packaged.The book itself, is nice to look at and has plenty of information. We bought it to get more information about keeping mice before we actually get a pair. The book has been very informative and I am pleased that I bought it. There are some really lovely photos in the book for mice lovers.

Love the pet owners series and this didn't disappoint, very informative.
