This is an excellent book. A very quick and easy way to learn Autocad as well as a full course in drafting house plans. It begins with a very quick and simple set up and then the drawing begins. Every step and command is included. There are hundreds of illustrations that detail every step. Unlike most books it includes all the steps for every process so there is no confusion. Very clear and easy to understand. I don't think there is a faster way to learn autocad.

A well summarized text and easy to understand for those starting on AutoCAD. Hoping for more addition on mechanical drawings in later versions

It teaches how to do 2d layout in Autocad, very similar to paper drafting techniques, but does not go into 3d rendering or give complete dimensions for the last few drawings in the project. I had hoped it would teach me the inbuilt architectural tools so I could finish the second story of a house I've been working on drawing up, but alas it does not.

Coupling the book with the Youtube video's. This was a low cost way to learn Autocad.

This manual does not provide instruction to learn AutoCAD. If you are a novice this manual will confuse you.
