Beauty Junkees Angled Blush Brush for Cream, Liquid, Powder Makeup, Dense Synthetic Bristles to Stipple and Blend for Buildable Pigmented Color

I wrote the following review for the "Flat Top Kabuki Brush" but I also bought the "Concealer Makeup Brush for Eyes". I wish now that I would have bought the entire set because I love these two so much. All I can tell you is to BUY THEM! They're great brushes and I could not be without them! I LOVE them! ******************************************************************************** I am in my late 50's and I guess you could say I am a make-up newbie. Well, sort of. I used to wear make-up years ago when I was working every day but I got out of the habit of "making myself up" after retiring early and sort of ... ahem...well, I let myself go. Recently I have begun to see the results of age on my face and have not liked AT ALL what I saw looking back at me in the mirror! Not only wrinkles, which is a whole other story, but my pores seemed to have grown to gargantuan size. I know I had some acne scars from my teenage years but they seemed to have grown much larger with age. So back to the department store makeup counter I went and picked up a bottle of liquid foundation that promised to give me that dewey look of youth. The sales woman told me I absolutely needed to use a foundation brush to apply this new foundation [which she would sell me for $36.00] but I thought it kind of weird to use a brush to put my makeup on and politely declined. [I figured I could just do it the old fashioned way - with my fingers - which cost me nothing.] I thought applying makeup after getting out of the habit for so many years would be like riding a bike. But, truthfully, it just didn't look like it did when I was younger. After viewing some professional online make-up tutorials in which brushes were used, I thought about buying one but frankly the prices seemed so steep, especially since I needed all the other products one needs to keep a face looking beautiful. But once I bought all the basics one needs in the makeup department I kept wondering if I would get better results with a foundation brush. That $40 bottle of foundation was not hiding those acne scars [so much for the "dewey look", I thought] and I figured I had just wasted my money on a product that did nothing for my face. And then I came across this brush, the Premium Foundation Makeup Brush - Flat Top from Beauty Junkees [LOVE that company name!]. It had stellar reviews and was quite inexpensive so I decided to try it and another brush. [I flip-flopped back and forth about getting the whole set but thought I would just try one or two first. Now I wish I would have purchased the whole set.] I wasn't sure how to use a foundation brush to apply my makeup but after viewing some more online videos I decided just to jump in. After only about 5 minutes of practice I really and truly was blown away at how well those acne scars disappeared using this brush! With a simple "stippling" and twisting motion I was able to magically fill in those acne scars! I then used another brush to apply a light coating of powder and my skin actually looked flawless! I felt like I had lost ten years off my face. The bristles on these brushes are so thick and so soft! The brushes, themselves, are very well constructed For someone who is "new" to applying foundation with brushes I found them very simple to use and with the large, hefty handles, very comfortable to hold and to work with. They clean easily and dry fast. And they work! I am so grateful to have found this foundation brush and at such a reasonable price. I recommend this brush to anyone who wants to get rid of the appearance of acne scars. I never thought that a foundation brush could make such a difference but it truly does. I am simply amazed at how, with the right tools, one can change the face of time. I couldn't be without it now.

This angled blush brush is very easy to use and perfect for shaping my cheeks. The bristles are soft and pick up just the right amount of product. It blends blush evenly and gives a natural finish. I’ve been using it daily and it still looks new. I would definitely recommend it.

I'm gonna confess right away that I'm a little (okay, a lot) obsessive when I'm buying products. I research reviews like crazy, and this time I actually bought multiple brands of flat top kabuki's to see which one I liked best. I heard about the Sigma F80 but didn't want to spend that much if I could get something comparable for less. So I ordered an inexpensive kabuki set from Royal Care Cosmetics and this Beauty Junkees flat top. I want to save money, but I don't want cheap quality. Right away I could see that the Beauty Junkees was better quality: heavier, denser bristles, and very soft. I have a food scale for baking, so I set each one on there to check the weight difference. RC Cosmetics 31 grams, Beauty Junkees 44 grams. (Both weighed before use to keep product build up from confusing the weights.) My thought when I applied my foundation with the BJ brush: "Where have you been all my life?!" I can't believe I've spent years applying foundation by hand. I have tried a traditional foundation brush before, but it was tedious and still streaky. This flat top is like a dream. The foundation goes on so beautifully and the brush feels amazing on the skin. It's also nicely weighted in my hand. The reason I'm taking off one star is that when I washed the brush there was the tiniest bit of looseness in the ferrule. Five stars for customer service, though, because they immediately sent out a second brush. The second brush has a secure ferrule but is slightly less dense than the first. I popped it on the scale and it was 41 grams. I got worried that I was missing out on something special with the Sigma F80, so I ordered it for comparison (I told you I was obsessive). It is the same density as the first Beauty Junkees brush I received but I think the Beauty Junkees wins on softness. There's something about the Beauty Junkees that is more gentle when pressing flat against the skin. The Sigma F80 weighs 39 grams, and my impression is that the handle is lighter than the Beauty Junkees handle, since the F80 bristles are definitely as dense. No shedding from the Beauty Junkees flat top through use and three washes. The Sigma had four little hairs sticking up that would need to be trimmed level. Both Beauty Junkees flat tops had exactly one hair that needs to be trimmed. Verdict: I'm keeping my Beauty Junkees flat top and returning the Sigma and RC Cosmetics brushes. I'm not missing out on anything, since I have a fantastic brush from Beauty Junkees. Beauty Junkees is in between the price of the other two brands, which makes it a perfect choice for quality and price. Because they are more affordable than Sigma but very similar quality, I plan to buy the other Beauty Junkees kabuki brushes as well.

I have tried just about every high end makeup brush you can imagine...and can honestly say that this brush matches up to (and, in some cases, even exceeds) all of those high end, expensive brushes. I've liked it so much that I've even purchased more than one of these, so that I'm never without one while waiting for another one to dry after washing. In fact, they could justifiably charge much more for this brush if they wanted, so I'm thankful they've lowered the price point so more people on a budget can try it out! It is incredibly smooth, soft and luxurious. Yet it's also just firm enough to not require too much pressing and doesn't splay out. I used it with a stippling motion, with my liquid foundation. In the end, I got a very smooth, streak-free and airbrushed finish that really blurred my big pores (and gives moderate to full coverage). In fact, I looked so good after using this that during a dinner date, my guy actually asked if I'd done something different because I looked especially pretty! (so it's a bit of a myth that men don't notice these sorts of things...that was a nice bonus). It's also well made and doesn't shed bristles. Cleaning it was much easier than I thought, with some olive oil and a mild shampoo or soap. I was concerned it would be difficult to clean because of how dense it was, so was pleasantly surprised at how easily the makeup came out while washing. I also love that it really requires very little foundation to cover the face. Unlike many sponges and other brushes, It doesn't soak up too much of the foundation, so more of it actually ends up on your skin. This will help save money in the long run when you can use less foundation each time, so a bottle lasts longer. It was also easy enough to clean with some cleansing oil and shampoo. The only possible drawbacks I can think of is that people who want a lighter weight handle and lighter coverage may want to look elsewhere. Overall, though, you can't go wrong with this!

I purchased the five set kabuki brush which I'm realizing now was a little overkill (how many kabuki brushes can you have?) but I was highly intrigued by the set and the companies dedication. First impression. The packaging is great. The brushes come individually packaged and the brush holder all come in a box filled with pink confetti and a very cute sticker (that I won't spoil for you:), this would make a perfect gift for any makeup lover. When I opened the bags for each brush they emitted and awful smell. Seriously they smelt awful which was an initial turn off. I immediately washed them my preferred way, with baby shampoo, and the smell was gone. I am still not fan of the idea that the brushes came loaded with chemicals but this is the only con. The brushes are AMAZING. Incredibly dense and full yet incredibly soft and pick up makeup so well. These apply effortlessly and really give your skin an airbrushed look. So easy to use yet so effective. These brushes are far better than Sigma's kabuki though somewhat different, Sigma's have a slightly larger head and are fluffier however these are denser and equally as soft as Sigmas and I find the denseness gives a better application. I won't be using my Sigma again any time soon. These brushes also have a great weight to them. Very heavy duty wood handle with a sturdy metal ferrule, you can tell the quality just by holding them. On top of this Beauty Junkees has some of the best customer service I've ever experienced. When I received the kit the leather tube was too small to hold all the brushes and I was very confused. I contacted the seller who responded right away and said they had made their brushes denser which in return caused them to be larger and they no longer all fit in the tube. She told me they were in the process of making a new larger tube and offered to send me one when they were completed in a few months. Well during this time the seller kept me up to date on the production of their tubes and sure enough I received one via priority mail wrapped in pink tissue paper. This tube is perfect for holding all the brushes and is a beautiful leather and very very solid. Beauty junkees truly cares about their customers satisfaction and was extremely kind and prompt in their response. I have since bought several of their other products because I value their great quality and great customer service. Can't go wrong with this brush or this company.

I love these brushes. They are soft and they wash easily. The product comes with instruction on how to clean them. They are still like new after you wash them. I love that the handles of the brushes are bigger. Some brushes have strawny ends so it's not easy to grip them. I've been ordering all my brushes from this brand. Love them! The product may still be usable but it’s very different to what was described. The product may have a few faults. I'm not a fan of this item as it is no where close to my expectations and I won't order it again, but I can imagine a few others might find it functional as it has at least one positive quality. 3 Stars (It's okay): This item has both positive and negative qualities. I can definitely see some people loving or liking it as it may work for them, but I would likely not purchase in future. While you might think a 3-star score equates to average, 3 stars counts against the product as a negative score. There may be a few minor issues, but all in all, the product is solid. This item arrived and functions as advertised. I would change a few things about this, but is a good product overall. I used this brush and it was more than what I had ever expected. I took a leap of faith and bought the brush because it looked appealing, and the price was amazing. I don't own any foundation brush, only miscellaneous ones for eyes, brows and blush. I always used my hands and I've seen YouTube makeup artists use sigma and thought why not. But I saw the cost of them and I'm like might as well get a MAC one then. But I came across beauty junkees and what caught my attention was the price which is half the price of other makeup brushes, and I read the reviews which claimed to be like The Best Brush Ever, Every Girls Gots To Has This. Obviously, that hyped me up. Yet, I was still apprehensive because I'm not comfortable with buying brushes online, like I have to feel the texture of the brush. Is it soft? Too soft? Is it stiff? Will it streak!? There was a lot of question going through my mind, but how will I ever know the truth if I don't test it out myself. So I bought it, because it was a beautiful price and reviews was claiming it's the bomb. It came in 2 days. Spoiler Alert: Packaging is thick, clear in the front/metallic on the back. Just want to warn you that once you open the package, this incredibly strong chemical odor hits you and you MUST wash your brush before using it! God knows what will happen to your face if you skip this step! You would probably be the only one writing a bad review because you didn't wash the brush! This brush is absolutely a great buy! I use products from high end to drugstore, and lately my favorite's been in the drugstore. When I first applied my foundation with my hands I can see the product on the surface of my skin (even after I prep & prime), however, after I used the same foundation with this brush, WOW. Made my skin look flawless, I mean like as if my skin absorbed the foundation. It buffed in the foundation, and I don't see my pores like I did before. The brush is SO easy to use, takes me like 30 seconds to buff in the makeup all over, giving me medium-full coverage. The weight of the brush is quite heavy, and the brush comes with instructions on how to wash and take care of it. I am amazed and totally satisfied with this product. Also came with a coupon in the packaging, so I'm just mind blown. Thank God, for leading me to buy this and saving me money! Great product! Must have!!!
