Excellent photos, really informative book
I live very close to the Forth Bridge now, but didn't grow up round these parts so was interested to find out more about it, just from a laypersons point of view. My husband is also very interested in engineering, so I thought he would enjoy it. It didn't disappoint - there are so many fantastic historical photographs included, as well as technical drawings, early designs, and a fascinating and easy to digest account of how the bridge came about, why it looks like it does, how it was actually built, and the people who built it. A very interesting book that will make you look at this iconic structure with new understanding and appreciation.

Something to read before a visit to see the bridge!
This book was just what I needed. The content is excellent. When I am able to come to see the bridge, travelling from the United States of America, I will appreciate the bridge and its history.

An excellent pictorial history of the Forth Bridge
A very good pictorial history of the Forth Railway Bridge, opened in 1890. A true Victorian engineering icon. Although not new, book arrived in very good condition. Good value for money.
