Well built, easy to use and grinds well
Arrived on time. Immediately gave it a test run. All grinding levels worked well. The grind size is indicated by different sized black dots on the side of the grinder. While many may have issues with precise grinding size labeling, you get a good sense of what dot yields what grind. If you are grinding a whole bag of beans at once, this may seem a bit monotonous.I, being a regular drip coffee maker user, appreciate the grind control over my Bodum electric blade grinder that produces filter clogging powder or large coffee wasting chunks.I have not traveled with it, but wouldn't hesitate to toss this in my backpack for a hike/camp trip. Seems pretty well made and I expect it to last for a few years at least. As far as cleaning goes, the included brush will sweep out any dust or remnants from the open areas. I do think if you want the ceramic grinding parts pristinely clean, you will have to take this apart and clean them. The brush did little to remove the coffee dust from the burs, but I don't mind, since all that's going in this is coffee.I'm not sure that I would put this in the dishwasher, but that's just my personal belief that for items like this (plastic and tight spaces that you cannot dry with a towel) the dishwasher shortens the life considerably.I would recommend this item to friends and family, based on this initial test run. If problems arise down the road, I will update this review.

Not as much capacity as hoped, but pleasantly happy with results
I have a Bialetti manual grinder and was looking for something with a little more capacity, easier grind settings, and a wider mouth in the grind section. My current model can only fit a 1/2 tablespoon scoopI like the easy grind settings on this model. The folding handle is nice, keeps the grinder compact. The lid is a bit loose, so I have to check I haven’t pushed down too hard on the handle. The bean chamber is about the same capacity as my Bialetti, however, the grind chamber is extremely small. Also, the grind chamber is only secured by a single, thin gasket. So the chamber can fall off mid grind if you’re not careful. I’m not too critical of these issues, as the machine was marketed as a travel grinder. On the plus side, I found that the grind chamber holds the exact amount of grinds I use for my 6 cup Chemex. This makes it so I only grind for what I need, and nothing goes stale. To wrap up, I was slightly disappointed in the quality, but satisfied with the ease of use. First disappointed in the capacity, but then changed to pleasantly happy. I will probably use this exclusively for my Chemex and use the other grinder for my aero press.

It is small which has its advantages and disadvantages
What I like was that it was small, it didn’t require power when PG&E turns off power in fire season. What I didn’t like was it the fact it was small so wouldn’t recommend for daily use. I do cold brewing so like how I can use setting to determine ground size but it’s small size means I have to ground three containers at a time to do my 5-day supply of cold brew. I will definitely place it in our travel trailer for quite use, and have it as back up for power outages. It is very Sleek and attractive

Uneven grounds and precarious parts
I originally bought this grinder to experiment with different manual burr grinders. Overall, the device is pretty compact, light, and (I’d say) easy to travel with. The issue is the design and grind. On the side of the grinder itself, there are dots/indicators to how coarse you’d want for your brew that would range from 1-5. I did a number of tests to see which grind size would be suitable for me. I usually use a pour over so I opted for level 2 or the second to smallest grind size. The results weren’t great. The grounds were uneven and there were clear bits of coffee that were even too coarse for a French press. I tried it again with a level 1 or the smallest grind. Grounds were also uneven but this time ranging from almost like powder to a really coarse sea salt. The design of the grinder itself is okay. But the feel in the hand does not feel great. When doing the manual labor, there are often times where I worry that the lid or plastic holder would pop off.I did final tests that resulted for the best grind for me, which was to set the grind size at 2 and regrind the grounds two MORE times by hand. So if you’re looking for some forearm workouts, and even coffee grounds, go for this device. Otherwise, I’d suggest a better burr grinder.

Used for grinding herbs
I originally purchased this item to grind my herbs into a fine powder. Unfortunately, it does not do this well. It grinds them up into small pieces. I used it for coffee once and thought it did a fairly good job at keeping the grinds even. It is a bit difficult to hold when I’m grinding. If you have weak hands or arthritis, you might find this grinder hard to use. It cleans well and is a perfect size for camping. I still use it to grind my herbs, but I will have to find another means for creating a fine powder.

Great product but not perfect
Great and smart product. Love the size and functionality of the grinder. To make a good batch of French pressed coffee I find I use the biggest two sizes of grind and it doesn't feel like it's toouch of a work out. One point of contention is the indicator marks on the grinder. The black dots used to indicate the fineness of grind and the mark/dash to match it rub off fairly easy which kind of stinks. I can see in the future it having no marks at all after normal use.

Labor Intensive for a Cup of Coffee
I'm new to manual burr grinders so I have no comparison. It took me 189 rotations to grind a little bit over 2TBSP of beans on a medium fine grind so I found that excessive. Once ground the result seemed to be quite consistent and the container was relatively easy to hold on to during the grinding process. I do like the way the grind handle flips into the container when not in use. I guess my major complaint is the labor intensive time it takes to make a couple of small cups of coffee. But again, I'm new to this so it may be all grinders perform the same way. Just beware to use some "elbow grease" to get a cup of coffee.

Normal grinding power with ok build
It is ok. The build is normal. The grinding was a bit tedious - it took me quite a while to grind 3 tablespoons worth of coffee. But I guess that is normal for a small hand grinder.
