Baby Monitor with Camera and Audio Samxic 720P 5" Inches Display, Crying & Temperature Alert, Two-Way Talk, No Glow Night Vision, Remote Pan & Tilt & Zoom, High Privacy Baby Monitor System

I have had a DXR-8 for a few years now and it was barely surviving at this point. I really wanted to upgrade to something with a bigger, better picture and a better charging method. I have to say, this Samxic monitor has blown my old one away so far!!! The picture and sound are so much clearer, the camera and handheld unit are both clearly far superior and better made, and I got it for about half the price on sale! This one also has lullabies and I must say they are very pleasant, the on screen menu is clear, bright and easy to understand and use, which is great for when Grandma is using the monitor. If I was going to offer them just a few pieces of advice it would be these... the power button that you use to make the screen go off is a bit hard to press and it's on the side of the unit, and with my old monitor the button was on the top of the unit, so that made it easier to reach over and push the button down with one hand while the monitor was sitting on a table or something, this one requires 2 hands to do that and as a parent, 1 handed operation always wins. Next, the way that the AC blocks are for the camera and handheld unit both are very inconvenient. The blocks only plug in one way to where they are sticking out of the wall a couple inches and the cords can only come out of the back of them, it's not such a big deal for the handheld, but in the camera's case, it takes a few inches off the length of the cable because it has to go to the part that's sticking out instead of running up along the wall, and the cable could be about a foot longer honestly. If you're plugging it in to a standard level outlet, it won't reach all the way to the top of the wall, let alone the ceiling. And last, the mount it comes with is relatively useless unfortunately. The way that it screws in to the back of the camera doesn't keep the camera in one place. The camera just pivots with gravity and ends up upside down, making the camera picture upside down. I am already working on ordering an aftermarket mount which runs 10-20 bucks and the camera is heavy enough that I will have to order a pretty good one. These are all super mild silly details that could be improved on, none of them are a big deal at all but I thought them worth mentioning. The main features and the nuts and bolts of the unit and what it does are amazing, especially for the price. Definitely buy it, it's a fantastic unit, the tiny imperfections are really only slight inconveniences.

I got this monitor for my toddlers room. She has hit the age where she climbs out of bed and quickly can be up to no good. Our previous baby monitor just looked at the bed and once she was out it was not helpful. With this monitor I can easily scan the entire 10x12 room and zoom in and out with crystal clarity. The microphone is also super sensitive so it picks up even the quietest squeaks and steps no matter how quiet and sneaky she is trying to be. The mounting hardware is strong and stable so i was easily able to mount the camera in a spot she cant get to yet it doesn't impede the view at all. During the day mode the colors on the screen are crystal clear and looks like you are watching TV. When it switches into night mode the screen goes to black and white but absolutely no clarity is lost. I especially love the fact that it can be put into an audio mode. I personally am one of those people that cant sleep without darkness and even the glow of a baby monitor can interupt my sleep. With this function I can have my darkness and have the confidence that I will hear even the smallest peep and then it is just a touch of a button to see what is going on. The talk mode is fantastic, not only can I hear everything my child is doing but when I talk to her she hears me as if I were standing next to her. I only wish I had found this monitor when she was an infant, the clarity of it brings so much comfort and it definitely would have been the only monitor I needed. It can be used plugged in or wireless so it makes it very convenient if you want to go from room to room. The battery when fully charged lasts most of the day even longer if you use the screen off mode. The lullaby feature is cute although with a toddler its more of a novelty than productive but i could see it being soothing for a younger baby. I especially like the fact that this system can have multiple cameras paired to it so if i want to be able to watch another room i can easily do so with the same base monitor without hassle. This monitor is truly worth ever penny. I would buy it again over and over,

I love this baby monitor. For a while I was researching top rated monitors but found that they didn’t have all the features I was looking for. This one is just what I needed. (Now that I have it I wonder how I lived without a monitor for so long.)PROS:Monitor:- Option to press and hold to speak to your baby- Temperature sensor and option to set alerts for low or high temperature- Option to set alerts for baby crying (or you can just raise volume to hear the baby)- 6 Lullaby options - this is my favorite. I put a song during her day time nap and the ocean sound when she goes to sleep.- Excellent display - large screen, color during day and clear night visionCamera:- Comes with a stand that can be easily mounted to the wall- Can give a wide view of the room and be remotely panned and tilted using the monitor- High quality video- Simple to use. There's a red indicator light when it's plugged in. If it disconnects from the monitor you just pair it and poke the hole in the back to reconnect it. (There's a clear instruction guide in the box.)I had some issues with the night vision and customer service was very helpful and immediately sent a free replacement camera which solved the problem.Overall, this product has all the features I need and has been super helpful. Worth the money.I highly recommend this product!
