Suggestion on first use... Though the soap appears firm, once you start to mix it, it becomes much softer. I usually scoop about half of the soap out of the jar using a regular serving spoon. I then put half of the blended leaves into the jar and mix it thoroughly with the spoon. I put back the soap I scooped out before, put the rest of the leaves in the jar and mix everything together. By this time the soap should be much softer than when you started.
