Damaged box on delivery, and brush did not work
This is a very nice looking solid product, not cheap plastic, it's obviously worth more than the 18 quid I paid for it. However, the box was damaged and open when I received it. Not letting it put me off I read the instructions and switched it on - immediately it started crackling, a really worrying sound as if something not quite connected. There's a LED digital light on the outer handle where you control the temperature - it kept stating it was 'OFF' even though I had obviously switched it ON. I pressed the 'plus' sign to increase the heat but there was no indicator to show just how hot a setting I was getting. It is supposed to heat up quickly but, after 5/6 minutes it was barely warm, by which time the crackling sound was too off putting to go any further. Packed up and returned for full refund. I may have just received a defective product - but I'm not risking another one. Shame.

Initially this was great and made straightening my hair really easy but not long after the prongs began to break off.

Reasonable price
My biggest peeve is that it says 230° but the unit only goes up to 200°To the reviewer complaining about buzzing: turn the ionic switch off, it stops instantly.Straightening my hair with a flat iron does get it much straighter and much quicker, however, my hair goes very flat and thin with straighteners and needs washing daily.This brush doesn’t get it poker straight but it’s less curly/frizz and my scalp isn’t greasy and itchy the following day so less washing.Overall, it’s handy for if you want to tame frizz enough to tie your hair back into a ponytail but it’s not ideal if you’re a mum with no time to waste on personal appearance
