Mold spores and mycotoxins
So far so good.. bought this to "seal" in cross contamination from mold, particularly aspergillus and stachybotrys. I brought in a credenza from my contaminated apartment to my new apartment. Ended up having to get rid of the credenza but it contaminated the floor and wall where I had it. I cleaned and washed and sprayed a ton, but I was still reactive to it. Looked into paints, primers, sealants. I am now also very sensitive to VOCs. This product was great. It looks like very watered down white glue, low odor. I used a wide paint brush. It was easy to put on multiple coats. Dried fairly quickly. Seems to have done the trick in dealin sealing in the spores and mycotoxins from the cross contamination. I no longer react to the wall. Time will tell.

Nontoxic
That it is nontoxic. Drys quickly. It does have an oder until it drys but then you don't smell it. Good for chemically sensitive people.

Works for me
I bought a bottle of this in 2013 according to my order history. I am just about to run out, and came to buy more so I thought I'd share my experience. I love it. I have used it primarily on furniture and cabinets I have painted. It goes on terribly, it looks bubbly and splotchy, but it always looks fine after it dries. I also used it on a dining table I built that was stained, clear coated, then covered with this and it looks okay. It doesn't have that thick shiny gloss to it I would like, but it's so worth it for me because I am somewhat sensitive to chemical smells. I can work with chemicals that are strong if I'm outside, but if I bring a piece of furniture in the house I've painted or clear coated without using this on, it fills the house and makes me nauseated. I don't have any problems if I've used this first though. Also, after I painted a bathroom vanity the "Low VOC" paint, it seemed to just be filling the house with it's awful chemical smell and was driving me nuts, but after I used the Safecoat it didn't bother me anymore. I'm not as sensitive as some people though, so that could be why it's so effective for me.

Non toxic , Seals and Gives a shine.
Been using this product for over 20 years. I use only nontoxic products in my home. This has worked out forme very well. I used it to seal luan that I have painted with acyrilic paint. sealed furniture I have decoupaged.Used it to seal the inside of drawers from thrift stores to block fragrance. and used it under my sinks to seal new wood. Very grateful to be able to still do what I love with out chemical's

Did exactly what i needed it to do!
My husband and I purchased a table set from a big furniture retailer. Metal framed with "wood" tops. The wood tops are made of MDF with a wood veneer glued to the top. When they were delivered, you could just smell all the chemicals off-gassing. This was no surprise. We purchased the AFM hard seal for the edges and backs, and the Afm Safecoat Acrylacq for the tops. The Hard Seal soaked in nicely, and after the third coat per the instructions, the MDF no longer smells. My worry though was that this thin liquid was going to make the MDF swell, but it didn't. The entire table set consisted of 4 tables, with multiple levels on two of them. They all went into the same room, and I can't smell anything. Afm Safecoat Acrylacq went on the tops where the wood veneer was. The veneer was already finished with something, so the Hard Seal would have been the wrong product. We chose the Afm Safecoat Acrylacq in satin, and the finish came out real nice after following the instructions. I'd definitely use these again on other things. I may up it to 5 stars based on longevity.

Afm Safecoat Hard Seal
We have used Afm Safecoat Hard Seal in the past and it works well. My wife and daughter suffered from chemical sensitivities. We had a safe trailer built for their needs and this is one of the products that was used. After applying it we let it air out or off gas for a period of time. It will take several coats to get the desired finish look. We will definitely use this and other AFM products in the future.

This didn't seal the moldy smell under my sink
For the price i paid for this, it should have done my dishes too. I put on MANY coats. It didn't seal the smell at all! Then i put on ONE COAT of No VOC paint and it totally sealed the smell. this product is expensive garbage.
