Strahl 10004 Vivaldi 22-oz Cooler Tumblers, Set of 6

These Strahl Vivaldi Tumblers are without a doubt, the most beautiful polycarbonate glasses that I have ever seen. The finish is superlative and resembles the look you get with fine lead crystal. I put one of these glasses along side of an antique genuine Waterford lead crystal tumbler, and they had the same deep luster and visual appeal. Once you have ice or a cold liquid in the Strahl tumblers it feels just like glass in your hands and against your lips. One of the things that caught me by surprise, was how my little finger 'naturally' slid between the drip wells at the bottom of the glass and it took the stress off of my fingers and help support the glass while holding and drinking from it. The are EXTREMELY comfortable to hold and use and they have turned into my 'go to' glasses every time I open the cupboard. I already had a 6 piece set of Strahl Highball Tumblers and I knew what kind of quality to expect when I ordered these. I'm thrilled with the 22 oz. Tumblers and I know that I will enjoy using them for years to come. I should add that the Highball glasses serve as a great substitute for a Pilsner beer glass as well. Sadly, I received a 4 piece set of Strahl 15 oz. Beer Mugs, and I was horrified to see that they all had highly visible seam marks on the mugs and handles that made ridges on the surface that my fingers could feel. I sent them back immediately and I have to remember that all companies have problems with their quality control, even Strahl. As far as the 22 Oz. Strahl Vivaldi Tumblers and the Strahl Vivaldi Highball Glasses are concerned, These are absolutely beautiful glasses and I would HIGHLY recommend them to ANYONE that want's the look of fine crystal on their table without facing the possibilities of ever breaking one.( I do not work for the company or sell Strahl glassware)

This is our third set of Strahl glasses, replacing a set that I purchased in 2005 and, though still without any major scratches, have fine cracks in the base after many drops (I'd have kept them but my wife started throwing them out). The wine set I bought at the same time are still in excellent clear shape and are useful around the pool or patio.These are an improved design - extremely light, like crystal, and the bottom drains in the dishwasher (the old kind collected "stuff" in the bottom of the base). You can almost see them flex if you squeeze the top, but not quite. They have the smooth feel of plastic but are significantly more substantial. My wife was never a fan of the older set, but I notice that she's reaching for this model over the glass-glasses she's preferred.The thing you should know about these glasses is that although very light they're very large - big enough for a huge iced tea with lots of ice. I don't think you'd want to fill one of these with milk... maybe half. Check the measurement before you buy to consider whether they would be too large for you. I love the size - my last set was "normal" size but felt a little too small.I am worried about these scratching, although my first sets never scratched. My prior sets have a pattern to them, which would make scratches less noticeable if they had scratched (they haven't). These are just beautiful clear sides. If they scratch, I'll edit this review but I'm not willing to take a star away because I'm betting that like my other Strahl glasses they'll be beautiful for years.UPDATE: after a few drops from 4-year old level one has developed a "star crack" on the lip - you can't feel it but you can see it.

I bought these for my mom over twenty years ago and they are still fine. I finally got some for myself and they are still the same high quality. A bit pricey but worth every penny. I hope they always manufacture these in the same material which doesn’t scratch or break in the dishwasher or after dropping in a hard surface. They look like fine crystal too.

I've been looking for shatter resistant, stackable, craze-resistant, dishwasher-safe, bpa-free drink ware for months. (What can I say, I know what I want.) So glad I found these Strahl Vivaldi tumblers. Great size--large, but still comfortable to hold. Crystal clear--they look like real glass. And ingenious design--the channels in the bottom mean there is zero trapped water after running them through the dishwasher. I've had these about a month or so and they still look brand new. I have very limited cabinet space, so I was glad I could stack 2 together without a problem. Very happy with these. Just don't let your spouse use a metal spoon to stir their drink--caused some light scratching. Lesson learned.June 2020 UPDATE: I checked Strahl’s website. These cups are NOT BPA-free. :(However, the BPA is supposedly not an issue as long as you use the cups for COLD beverages. Don’t use them for hot drinks and don’t use them in the microwave. I wouldn’t use them straight out of the dishwasher if it’s still hot/warm.

After using these glasses for close to 20 years.. I was getting concerned about what I was going to use when the finally wore out.. mind you they were still very usable but had dulled somewhat and lost their perfect clarity. I bought my originals at Williams Sonoma and they didn’t carry them any more.. so when I found them on Amazon, I was delighted! These glasses are superb! I still have my old glasses but the new ones are four gorgeous, even after repeated washings in the dishwasher. They’re tough and last a long time and they have a good balance and weight in the hand.

I'm so glad I found these. I had a set from William Sonoma many, many years ago. I've been needing another set, but they don't carry them anymore. I was so glad to find them here. My first set was a see-through blue color. These are a nice clear color. They do look like glass and the feel/weight is heavier than expected for the type of material it is. I can't speak for these specific glasses, but the ones I had before (which appear the same) have lasted 15 years. After 15 years, they do look "foggy" and not clear/clean looking like they used to. A couple of the old ones got cracks around the rim. Even though I can see wear and tear on my old set, they are still holding up strong. I just wanted a set that looked nicer and newer.
