Overall I’m very pleased with these sticks. Only one had a crack on the top, which can be addressed with CA flex glue and spray. The stick that shipped directly from Brazos DID have cling wrap around the footer and stick to ensure it stayed - they are listening, folks! All shipped separately and came with footers.Hopefully my side by sides of some of the options help you pick what may suit you best!I saw the look, price, and American made and was inspired for Grandparent Christmas gifts! The extra bear is for a kiddo yet to make his official debut!After receiving some with the same craftsman sticker and looking at them, I’m inclined to believe those stickers are legitimate and not just a “make it authentic” marketing ploy. I also love that the tag includes a some facts/information about the type of wood used for the stick!Personal observations:- stark contrast and uniform - Hickory- subtle contrast and uniform - Sweet Gum- unique grains/colors/shape - Sassafras- slender, but “solid”, uniform- Iron WoodWith various craftsmen using natural pieces - you MUST expect variations from photos/between two sticks!!!Ordering online you are subject to luck of the draw… you don’t have the benefit of riffling through the barrel to pick your favored width, look, and height or avoid the ones that have split (not necessarily quality control issues - wood can be Wiley). If you are looking for a Cinderella Glass Slipper stick, you have absolutely NO business ordering a walking stick online.If you aren’t too picky, appreciate the unique aspect of natural materials, want to support American Craftsman and an American “small” business with reasonable prices, and can’t get to an outdoor store to pick one in person (or don’t want to pay outdoor store prices), give it a go!

I bought this walking stick because I’m an older gentleman that doesn’t like to use a cane. I have a bad back that makes me hunch over. By using the walking stick, it helps me stand up straight and it’s very strong. I really like the design also. Would recommend.

I gave this to a close friend that hike with. He was very touched by the gift and could not stop talking about how nice the hiking stick is. Being US made, and a long company history added to his enthusiastic response to the gift. You won't be disappointed.

I am 71-years-old but feel much younger. I recently had both knees replaced and I need something for balance on uneven ground and for getting to my son's fishing boat on the uneven shore. It's perfect! Light weight and lies next to me on the boat seat. I did not receive a rubber tip, however. After I reported that in Reviews, the company emailed me asking for the tip size. I responded that I need a 3/4-inch one, my reply email would not go through! Please send me the rubber tip. With that in place it will be perfect! Thank you in advance!

I bought this walking stick for my dad he was starting to need a cane but didn't really like using 1Since I gave him his walking stick he takes it everywhere he never forgets It's well made absolutely stunningly beautiful The only thing I can say negatively is that it came without being wrapped protected It was just shipped Without any kind of wrapping on The walking stick or anything around it to protect it This Truly shocked to me However like I said we absolutely love The walking stick And the quality and craftsmanship that was put into it

I RECEIVED IT TODAY AND IT IS MAGNIFICENT!!! I HAVE USED ONE FOR A YEAR AND WANTED A FANTASTIC BEAUTIFUL WALKING STICK THAT WAS MADE IN THE USA. I FOUND IT AND THE LITTLE BOOKLET SAYS IT WAS HAND MADE BY "SEAN WEST" AT "BRAZOS" IN NTEXAS. A CANE MAKES YOU WALK BENDING TO YOUR SIDE AND HARD ON YOUR BACK. A WALKING STICK WILL HAVE YOU WALK STRAIT. MYBACK IS POOR AND THIS HELPS ME TREMENDOUSLY.I WANT ANY ONE THAT READS THIS TO KNOW I AM IN NO CONNECTED TO THIS COMPANY. THISN IS NA 100% HONEST REVIEW.

Really nice.

I use it each time I go for a hike. Nice to have that extra reach if I come across a stream, mud puddle, or a snake. Just a bit of insurance distance.
