I don't know anything about sound systems...can I set this up right out of the box or will I need something else? Thanks in advanced.

You will need to determine best placement of the speakers. You may or may not need or want speaker stands. You will need speaker wire. Perhaps most importantly you will need a Audio Visual Receiver (AVR) that has the features you want or need. At bare minimum an AVR that decodes the newest codecs. Many desire Dolby Atmos which allows for height speakers so you get more realistic overhead content, helicopters etc. A 5.1 AVR is enough to drive and decode the audio being sent to these speakers. The sub woofer has its own amplifier so it just needs a cable designed for it. But perhaps like me you add two front mains, then you need a 7.1 (or 7.2 if you run two subs). That is a good setup IMO, I got a pair of Energy CF-30s which sound great with this set and allow a better experience listening to music as well. Most AVRs come with a mic and auto setup feature. You just place the mic where the listener will be and it will send tones through the speakers and adjust them for best performance. Myself and many others have posted about still using this system that came out in 2009. So they hold up well, they are small speakers with surprisingly good sound. Once you have had a true surround sound system you will not want to go back. It is worth the investment.

Subwoofer has a Line In/ Sub In (Left and Right), however, my receiver has just one Subwoofer RCA type jack. So, how does one hook up the subwoofer?

As per the manual: "If you are connecting your subwoofer to a pre-amp/processor with a LFE or Subwoofer pre-amp output, connect a single RCA cable to the LFE/Left input." So you run one RCA cable to the left input.
