Watching the Anime made me thirst for the whole story.Digital manga is great! The story itself keeps you wanting to finish the whole series. There are a lot of characters to keep track of, but it is easy.Remember page turning is left to right.

Five star writing, but a three star translation
First, I would like to say:This is an excellent series. I was familiar with it before it started being published in the States, and still keep up with the latest chapters. (They're at chapter 68, in Japan, as of this review.) Jun Mochizuki is a marvelous writer, who comes up with memorable, multi-dimensional, characters. The story told is a complex mystery, full of plot twists and intrigue, adventure and comedy, tragedy and love. It doesn't flinch from the shadows, but it still gives us heart-touching moments and some laughs. It is because of THIS that I am purchasing all of the mangas as they come out, here. I like having hard copies of my favorites. However, to be frank, this writer's work deserves better translators, and there are people, who, out of love for this story, do better for *free* if you just travel in the right circles online. *Intention* of the Abyss? Kevin *Legnard*? Are you kidding me? Also--maybe this is nitpicking, but--I will never understand why a story set in a sort of Victorian pseudo-Europe should be so full of samas and kuns. Regardless of the original language it was written in, THE CHARACTERS are not, themselves, Japanese people.I will, however, applaud Rufus Barma's arcane speech. It reflects the dialect of Japanese he uses quite well. I didn't expect they'd think to do that, given the otherwise shoddy work.Mochijun, keep up the glorious writing!Yen Press, you can do better!
