Excellent!
This book is such an awesome history of one of my favorite sitcoms of all time. The other being I Love Lucy. The book arrived in excellent condition. It was in better condition than the one I originally had years ago.

Come Knock Our Door! We've Been Waiting For You!
TV Land has finally shown the complete network episodes so you see scenes kept out of syndication like the "Three's Christmas" episode where the Ropers and the roommates end up at the Stevens party. I always wondered but I was too young when it first aired in 1977.If you are a fan of "Three's Company," you will enjoy finding out about the series with all its ups and downs especially the Suzanne Somers debacle. The series was developed to be a farce and provided many laughs and still do.This book is the definitive behind the scenes of America's roommates and landlords and friends. I still enjoy watching the episodes more than three decades later. It's still funny and enjoyable. This book traces the series from conception to the spin-off's final episode.I got to see Joyce Dewitt in "Nunsense" in the summer of 2018. Too bad, she never got another sitcom offer. I would love to see her as Susie's mother in the "Amazing Mrs Maisel." That would be worth watching. Janet was my favorite. I also read Suzanne's second autobiography where she revealed what led to her downfall. ABC would offer redemption with "Step by Step."I could see why Suzanne fought for equal pay. John was paid 5 times his co-stars salaries. I forgot Priscilla didn't participate with the book. The producers punished Joyce once and set Somers up as an example to others. Barnes recalled those as the three worst years in her career but remained friends with cast mates. Jenilee deserved better treatment. When Janet got married, they should have brought back the Ropers and Cindy too. I still watch the repeats. I would love it if Joyce wrote her own autobiography but I doubt she will. She is very private. She is supposed to have acted in a new comedy this year but it was scrapped for next year. Ironically it was sold out at all performances.

Not Everything Is As It Appears
Three's Company is my favorite all-time show. It was so interesting to read about the goings on behind the scenes. The cast members jelled so well on-screen it was hard to believe (and disappointing) to find out that there was so much animosity off camera. It wasn't always that way. It started when John Ritter and Joyce DeWitt believed that Suzanne Somers started getting greedy with her salary demands. That prompted the producers to write her off the show and bring in Chrissy's cousin, Cindy (played by Jennilee Harrison). Cindy's appearance (or Chrissy's disappearance, depending on how you look at it) prompted ratings to go down. They went back up when Cindy was show the door and Terry (Priscilla Barnes) was brought in. Joyce Dewitt never seemed to care for her producers' treatment towards her or the other females on the show. It would have been nice to read what Priscilla Barnes had to say, but she refused to be interviewed and that is our loss. We do know that she felt the producers took too many things away from the two female leads and gave them to John Ritter to let him shine. The book was definitely comprehensive, that's for sure. The show itself was dissected and Chriss Mann speaks about the behind the scenes goings on as if he were there. The only complaint I have is the way the episode guides were inserted throughout the interviews. It would have been better served if they were their own chapter. All in all, however, a great read for fans of the show and fans of pop culture in general.

Come And Knock On Our Door RULES
OK, maybe my opinion is biased because: I am a HUGE Three's Company fan, also a big Suzanne Somers fan and I luv just about all sitcoms from the 70's and 80's and luv books about TV shows in general. But I have to admit that COME AND KNOCK ON OUR DOOR was the very best book I ever read about any TV show. I felt like I was on the set of THREE'S COMPANY. The author (lemme just take this time to say that Chris Mann is a genius) captured every element of the show: from the early days, to The Ropers, to the rise and fall of Chrissy, then comes Chrissy's cousin, then Teri and finally Three's A Crowd! This book even has a complete guide at the back of the book with a detailed listing of every show that even includes the dates that the shows were broadcast. Also includes tons of exclusive pictures of the cast and interviews with just about everyone who was on the show, even Lana! There is also a very touching tribute to Mrs. Roper and the book includes one of her last interviews. It also has one of Mr. Roper's last interviews too! So if you love THREE'S COMPANY like I do then you gotta read this book because it is just the best. And even if you don't love THREE'S COMPANY you have to read the book because you will become a fan once you read it! Also, if you want even more info on THREE'S COMPANY then I strongly recommend the book AFTER THE FALL by Suzanne Sommers.

The Best Sitcom Ever Created on TV
Anyone who has watched Three's Company and other 70s and 80s sitcoms would love this book. Author Chris Mann is a Three's Company fan like many of us but he went few steps ahead to do the interview with cast and crew and did research to put it all in the form of a book. He was also interviewed on cable network E! when they made their own two hour show on this sitcom. It is sad that there were problems between the cast members, but I will not blame that on anyone; but I feel sad for Suzanne Somers, because, John Ritter and Joyce DeWitt distanced from Suzanne for an awfully long number of years. It is good to know that John Ritter reconciled with Suzanne few years before his unfortunate and sad death. Old wounds die hard and this very true when Suzanne Somers refused to reconcile with Joyce couple of years ago when Suzanne detected symptoms of breast cancer. Now John Ritter, Norman fell and Audra Lindley have gone and many actors who appeared on this sitcom have become great actors in Hollywood and TV. It is wonderful to read this book and cherish the memories and the great time many of us had watching and enjoying this show week after week. Thanks for the book Chris Mann.

Threes Company, Threes full
This book beautifully written and presented by Chris Mann, is the only true companion to the hit series Threes company starring John Ritter, Joyce Dewitt and Suzanne Somers among others, but in my opinion the original cast which I have just mentioned is the best, so the first four seasons are the best in my opinion. This book covers all the 8 seasons with in depth coverage, that even me seeing their is more to watch than just the first 4 seasons, makes them all come alive, more than 60 stars and guest stars being interviewed about the series, also includes interesting tidbits about the series. Also covers the two spinoff series, The Ropers and Threes a crowd. Extremely highly recommended. Buy it when you get the chance.
