Good
This whole saga is written really well, but I have to admit that it's dragging out a little too long. It just seems like there's no happiness and the story starts sucking the life out of you. The bad stuff is never ending and I just want it to end with some kind of happiness for Zam. I felt that way with The Elemental series by Ms. Mayer. I don't mind a good, long story line, but I like an end in sight. I also like the heroes not to be miserable 90% of the time. Again, excellent story line. Well written. I'm just ready for it to end now.

The continuing adventures of Zamira and Lila
You'd think that now that Zam is Alpha of her own pack life might be a little easier. You'd think wrong. Maks is now the head of the Jinn and no longer the same man she loves. This book follows our heroine as she head's for the Oracle's Haunt, she's trying to find out how to bring her brother back, but she also wants to know if she can save Maks and restore him. What would possibly go wrong? This story is one wild adventure and things tend to look bad for our favorite Alpha. Will she ever get Maks back? Will she let her heart settle for Ford? Will the curses on Lila and Zam ever be broken? All of those questions will NOT be answered in this book, but I'm hopeful we'll find out in the future books. If you've not started this series, go find the first book, you really don't want to miss out.

I love this author but....
This was not my favorite book by her. Honestly I wanted to give this book a 2, but I just couldn’t rate anything this author does that low. I have really enjoyed the first 3 books of her plus all her other books, however honestly I felt like this book jumped around too much and if I can say it, there was too much action to follow it all, lol. I do think Zam learned more about herself and became a better leader but I just had a hard time with this book. I will certainly read the next one to see what happens with this crazy team.

An action-packed adventure, but...
Oracle’s Haunt starts off where Jinn's Dominion ends.Zam and her pack are on their way to the Oracle. They need some answers that only the Oracle can give them.Zam can’t catch a break. She is thrown into one action-packed disaster after another. Their was a lot of jumping around from one situation to another. It was a little overwhelming and I can’t understand how Zam can deal with it all. We did get some things revealed about her, but she and use don’t have time to think or understand the information give.I am heartbroken about Maks, her mate of the soul. In the last book he sacrificed himself. In this one he pops back up, but he’s no longer the man she knew so, Zam is hurting. She has to deal with it, but has no time to sort out her feelings; because she’s moving from one issue to the next.I will say I’m tired of Steve and can’t understand why Zam didn’t get ride of him sooner, but I’m glad that he’s gone and hope he doesn’t come back. Though I have a feeling he'll pop back up.I wish the plot would progress a little more. I feel we are moving away from our goal instead of towards it. We don’t see much happening except a lot of action, but that’s because Zam’s thrown into one disaster situation after another.I like this action-packed Urban Fantasy series. The characters are hilarious and fun. Lila and Zam make a great team.Rated: 3.5 Stars

Headed further into the fire!
Shannon Mayer has done it again! Now 4 books into the story of Zam and we are on the edge of our seats waiting for the next one. The story develops more as we peice all the clues together. This book is a wild ride and I believe the next will only be better.Of you have been reading since book 1 (and if you haven't I highly recommend you go back and start from the beginning) Zam and Maks are now separated by forces neither can control and Zam must find the Oracle in order to bring back her brother, the gold lion she needs to bring down the Emperor for good. By a stroke of pure accident she finds herself separated from her new pride and on the edge of the Witches woods once again. This time they, her enforcer and uncle Shem, need to cross it without get noticed. Well in true Zam fashion nothing goes exactly as planned but this time they end up with a few more allies. Running from her once trusted mentor and her now possessed love and running smack into trouble. Zam's heart aches for the loss of Maks and she is fighting her attraction to Ford, her enforcer. As always her faithful horse and tiny dragon at her side. Read to save the world or die trying.

Another Mayer book equals another wonderful book
For most of Shannon Mayer's books I have started a review as soon as I have finished the book. They are always raves, as she is such a talented author. I had to savor this book a while. Zam and company have maneuvered their way to number one in my heart and this book is one of the reasons. Yes, it is an emotional rollercoaster, as usual in one of Shannon's books, but this one is an example of family. What is a family, who makes up a family, why does family have such a strong hold on us? Should family have that strong a hold and what do we do about it? What would we do for family or who we perceive as family? Poor Zamira can't catch a break in much but she has some very strong, powerful "family" bonds. A scene with Zam and Lila almost brought me to tears. Love underlines this book completely. I know it will continue in future and the next book can't come soon enough.

The next and best book in this series.
Zam and Lila are once more in the thick of things, and the story is a non-stop whirlwind. Each of these books is better than the last, and this one is the best so far. It’s so hard not to say things that would be a spoiler, and I don’t like them. But…we have witches, grocs, and Steve. What more do I need to say? Do yourself a favor and read this series and enjoy the wonderful world of Shannon Mayer.

Non-stop action. Endearing protagonists and a fabulous flawed villain
The pace of this short novel is relentless. There's plenty of action mystery and characters with clues for Zamora. However if I am feeling critical, the battles, rescues, and new destinations are feeling a trifle repetitive. I could do with space and more character development. The bonding between allies feels too instant and unconvincing for that reason.Enjoyable, exciting but it could have been a better book

Highly recommended
This book has your heart in your mouth with the twists and turns that Zam faces. The reader never knowing what to expect with each page turn. Once again Shannon the author continues the growth of the characters and it is not always for the best of Zam and Lilia and I can't wait to continue the journey of what is to come. Highly recommend

Worth the effore
This series is worth reading but you must read in order to understand the characters, whats what and whats happening. The heroine is learning all the time what she can and can't do.

Great sereis.
This is the 4th in the series and its action all the way. Some series tend to get bit monotonous in the middle but this book has kept me captivated. The characters and story are believable.

Engrossing
These need to be read in order . Suitable for teens, though there is colourful language. Well woven story that only gets better...
