Ultratherm Under The Tank Heater, 11 x 17

This is a really excellent UTH. Even though of course I use a thermostat to maintain the desired temperature (and if you are using a heat mat, please always use a thermostat with it), this is my preferred heat mat. Unlike some of the other brands, Ultratherms are regulated to stay between 68 and 95 degrees Fahrenheit, so you don't need to worry about unexpected malfunctions that result in heat spikes and injuries to your animal or damage to the surface the heat mat is on. This is the only brand of heat mat that I'll buy.

I put this on the side of my tank. Works perfect to add that extra heat for my snake. I have a 20 gallon.

Bought to put on the back side of my hermit crabitat, a little difficult to set it up on the side of something, but it’s functional and does it’s job in keeping their home at a pleasant temperature for them.

I have 14 hermit crabs and it is so hard to find the perfect heat source for them. I had previously used zoo med heaters and they were awful! I would always buy the recommended size based on my tank but the heater would always dry out the sand. I had a few molters die because of this. The Ultratherm is great! My tank is always the perfect temperature and the sand never dries out. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who has hermit crabs.

Not as nice as a T-Rex heat mat but serves its intended purpose. Doesn't seem to heat as efficiently or complete as the T-Rex mats but for the price and that I needed it in a rush, it works fine.
