Ok so I didn't see any reviews for the almond but took a chance. I've been using Castile soaps since I was a kid, but in the last 5 years or so, the almond one has become the king of our house (and RV). That being said, I was on Amazon about to order more Dr. Bronners when this one popped up in the results. I had never heard of it, but seeing that it's made in my home state of North Carolina... why not? My husband and I tried it and came to similar conclusions when comparing to the other brand:We can smell both almond and olive at the same time - we didn't expect that. It's lovely and pleasant, but if you don't like how olives smell, don't get this scent.The viscosity and level of suds is about the same.No perceivable difference in effectiveness when using as a household cleaner.It's gentler on the skin. I use it to wash my face and it does not dry my skin as much as the other one did. We both use it as a body wash too and feel like our skin feels softer after the fact.And last but not least, love that the label is nice and uncluttered. To the unitiated and house guests, the other brand's label can be pretty "weird" and "hippie-ish". Haha.In a nutshell, we would not hesitate to buy this again. I would love to see this sold locally, and will be telling other friends about it.

While this soap smells heavenly, it leaves your skin feeling soft and moisturized. I have even used it on my face. I will be ordering again.

This was the first time I ordered the Carolina castile soap, hoping that it would be a great product. The soap arrived already open, leaking out of the plastic bag & onto the box it had been shipped in. The safety seal had been peeled back and it appears that some of the soap was replaced with water. The soap had a pleasant smell and seemed like a nice soap.....if it hadn't been watered down!! :-(I returned the bottle and requested a replacement, hoping for an unopen bottle but to no avail...same exact issue the second time around. Don't know who to fault...Carolina or Amazon BUT I do know I'll be returning it AGAIN & moving on to something else!

I absolutely love this Almond castile soap. I love the way it makes my skin feel after a nice, hot shower. I use it for my hand soap, house cleaning, and to wash my face. By the way.... it makes my face feel wonderful and feeling fresh every time.I’m slowly phasing out all the chemical products I have and replacing them with organic products like Carolina Castile soap. I will definitely order this soap again and will be a Carolina Castile Soap customer for life.

It's a non-drying soap I use only for handwashing at home. I love the scent of almonds and the mix of oils. I bought the smaller size to try as my first purchase. Now, I will buy a large size for my office where I wash my hands a lot all day every day.

very concentrated, very versatile, pleasant smell, not harsh - good stuff

I have been using Dr. Bronner's Almond Pure Castile liquid soap for quite a while now. I love the almond smell. Due to the price of this stuff (nearly half), I decided to give it a try. In the bottle it smells pretty close to Dr. Bronner's. But once you thin it out with some water you can smell the olive. It reminds me somewhat of the Dr. Bronner's almond soap bars as far as the smell goes. It doesn't smell quite as good as Dr. Bronner's but for the price I am willing to deal with it. As far as use, it seems pretty comparable. I recommend giving it a try!

I love this product! It has a wonderful but subtle smell as I have a very sensitive nose. I use this for my dish soap and make my own hand soap. It rinses clean as a whistle even if my hands are greasy.
