Pacari Ecuadorian Organic Chocolate Esmeraldas 60% Cacao, 1.76-Ounce (Pack of 5)

I first had this particular chocolate in Ecuador and was an immediate fan. It's just about the best I've ever tasted, and I've tasted quite a few. I've now ordered more through Amazon a couple of times. The first time it was wonderful -- just what I remembered. The second time, I noticed that the bars were older (they are dated) than I had anticipated (still within shelf life, but not recently made) and didn't taste as good. I'm not sure if this was due to age (the bars not mine) or if there may have been an impact from possibly freezing and thawing during shipment or having been left outside on my front porch after delivery (it was during a cold snap). So I whole-heartedly recommend this chocolate but am a bit concerned as to the dangers of mail ordering them. I expect I'll try again and see what happens.
