Small alarm but gets it done
I meant to take pics and forgot. First it's much SMALLER than I thought - you know it "looked bigger in the picture". However this little thing is much louder than the one we were replacing. Upside it uses a standard 9v battery so no weird battery combos. We used this on an metal emergency exit in a retail space that was about 120' from the cash registers. Now everyone can hear if someone tries to slip out that door into the parking lot. It has an internal reed/magnet setup that works like a lego block and can be moved around the inside of the unit to wherever the magnet contact is on the door. My only suggestion - the screws are pretty much for a wood door setup so save a headache and grad some self-tapping metal screws if using on a metal door and/or door jamb. Happy so far but it's only been installed a few days. I would only update this if it dies in the first year based on the price alone.

Works Perfectly as Expected
This alarm works perfectly for the intended purpose of alerting when the emergency exit door is opened.

Great alarm system
Great alarm system for security and/or fire safety. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY! Before you try to set the DIP switches inside the alarm, make sure you understand the settings. Never discard those instructions! Many settings available depending on what you want. DO NOT use a graphite for moving the DIP switches. You risk breaking inside the switch. They are not hard to move up or down. Just exercise caution and know where you want them set BEFORE you start. The magnet can be moved to your desired spot. Test the magnet before you start drilling to your door or wall.

Good but waiting on durability.
Unit functions as described. The alarm is very loud and will be very easy to pick up all around the building it is installed in. The only negative is the construction. The main board inside is loose and durability will be a question... we'll see how it goes. Seeing as how these are meant to be mounted on a door, it is in regular movement and the loose board may cause it to malfunction. I'll post another review if it goes bad.

Church Day School Security
As the Facility Manager at a church with a day school the school director and I were worried about kids going out the gym door unnoticed as all exterior doors have to have a panic bar in case of an emergency. The gym door is armed when the church is unoccupied but not during the day. So I found this single door alarm and installed it and it works really well for us. Now the school can set the alarm during the day and if the door is opened it makes a very loud noise. I mounted the key up above the door so the siren can be turned off and on but at a level where the kids can't reach it. It really gives us extra piece of mind regarding the kid's safety. The unit takes a little bit of knowledge to mount but not too much and with the unit being battery powered you don't have to worry about running wiring to it. Now we are thinking about mounting them on all doors to keep the teachers from escaping!!

Perfectly fits the purpose intended.
This unit was purchased to be an alarm for an exit door at a charity business which needed to be monitored it's use. The device is easy to install, easy to replace the battery on, and sensor can be put in any one of multiple positions to allow a variety of installation configurations. Uses standard 9 volt batteries or it can be powered with an AC adapter.
