Excellent quality + fast delivery
I was looking for a very active yeast and this hasn't disappointed. Great for bread making and enriched dough. It does add a slightly yeasty taste but it's not over the top and, besides, who wants rustic homemade bread without that! It's a big pack so chill some in the fridge and freeze the rest.

Excellent reliable dried yeast for bread making
I’ve been using this for bread making since the pandemic started - and it has been consistently excellent. Doesn’t have the stronger flavour of some of the branded powdered yeast you might buy in the supermarket and it lasts really well once opened. Wouldn’t use anything else, frankly.

In use as I type
This is good yeast, I have used the usual stuff from supermarkets over the years and needed some more as I make bread reasonably often. This will be the second batch of loaves I've made using this yeast. If seems to activate quite quickly and as I type there is a mixing bowl full of dough that looks like it is making a bid for freedom as it is growing nicely in the bowl. From the previous loaves I can say that I got lovely tasting well risen uniform bread, can't ask for more. I will definitely buy this again.

Reliable and good value.
We found it works better if you start it in a little warm water then add to flour rather than using it dry. But works every time.

Not all yeast is the same.
Absolutely brilliant yeast. since I changed to this yeast my bread has noticeably improved. The rise is far superior to to my previous brand and provides for a much finer crump similar to that of the quality loaves you buy at the bakers. In fact my bread is now indistinguishable from the bread I used to buy from the bakery. It would be nice if it came in a resealable bag which is why I have only given it four stars, but the yeast on its own gets five.

Keeps well
Love this yeast. I keep it in a sealed bag in the freezer and take a spoonful out when needed, it last for ages. I seem to get better results than with supermarket yeast, better rise better taste.

Excellent and Absolutely Perfect For Breadmaking Machines
I've been using this yeast for the past two years, I purchased it initially for use in my breadmaking machine, and then began using it for other recipes. I've made bread of all kinds including Challah etc, along with bagels, cinnamon buns, semlor buns, huge yeast wreaths, just about everything you can think of, and everything has always come out perfectly using this yeast. A lot better in fact than the store bought one I had previously been buying. I keep it in a Lock and Lock tub at present. I was intending to stick it in the freezer initially, but I ended up using it much faster than I thought I would.Being disabled, I frequently use my breadmaking machine as a mixer and kneader, to do most of the work for me, as well as solely using it as a breadmaker, so I use it to mix and knead the doughs for recipes, even when I'm not using it to actually bake the end product. This means this yeast obviously has to go into the breadmaking machine and be usable as such. So it concerns me to see reviews on here stating that this yeast is completely unusable in this regard. I can assure you this is completely untrue. The product labelled and sold as Fermipan Instant Red Dried Yeast, is exactly that, instant, it is specifically designed to be used in recipes such as those I have mentioned above, and to be used in breadmakers, with their timings, and it works perfectly, as I can testify, and as can be seen from the other reviews here. If you are looking for Instant Yeast, just make sure you are buying that product, and not the product labelled as just Dried Yeast, which is not in fact, instant.I actually bought a packet of this instant yeast, which is 500g, along with two huge 15 kilo bags of flour, thinking they would last me for a couple of years, and found this yeast made everything come out so well, that I used the yeast and flour I had bought within 6 months, baking so much more than I usually do, so had to buy some more.I am very happy with this yeast and will keep on buying it.
