While it is difficult to remove the hair that gets caught on this brush, at least this brush has tines that are close enough together to make a difference. I have a small cat with medium to long hair, and I have had a terrible time trying to find a brush I can use to help him groom. Most have big tines that don't work on a cat, or are so far apart that they don't catch any fur. When I use it, most of the fur just comes off, so I catch it and throw it away; it's really only a small amount that stays on the brush, and it's certainly still usable. For a cat, this is the only brush I've found in recent memory that works. I'll have to try rinsing out the brush to see if I can get the fur off.

I ordered this because I needed a brush for sensitive skin (retired racing greyhound with a little dandruff and some thinning hair from poor diet & being crated 24/7); this seems to do the trick. It's flexible enough to be gentle, but is designed to catch a lot of loose fur. I'm happy that it isn't very flimsy, so I don't expect the strap to break anytime soon. The size is also good- it covers most of my hand (palm & fingers). My only complaint is that the rubber tips are VERY short - that means that even for shorthaired animals, this does not hold a lot of fur.

I used this to help wash my Huskies and it worked really well!! It’s not made to brush their hair, but rather help scrub them quickly during a bath. (Anyone with Huskies knows you have about 1 minute to finish the bath before they jump out/scream/cry/kill you).People said they have a hard time cleaning the hair out but if you just let it dry then most of it comes out. I don’t really care if there’s a little hair left over.

I love this brush. I used to help my mom groom dogs professionally and she always had a rubber brush for washing that helped get the loose hair out of dog's coats. For years I've been trying to find the same brush to no avail. While this brush is not the same one I used to use it works just as well, if not better. My dog loves to be brushed with it both while being bathed and dry brushing. It picks up loads of loose hair and has been a god-send during shedding season.

BUY THIS BRUSH !I have a 4 months puppy with short hair who is shedding currently, and black sofas. I don't think it's the best brush for medium or long haired breeds.This tool is excellent on short haired breeds!Easy to use, nice material, easy to wash with warm water.
