Sullivans 39840 Heirloom Embroidery Scissors Pendant, 3-1/2", Silver

Both the scissors and it's case are detailed and gorgeous. The scissors is of very high quality...it's much smoother and sharper than your average snips (I find this to be true of all Sullivans scissors). Wearing this around my neck solved the problem of my scissors constantly getting lost down the cracks of my recliner while I stitch. I purchased this as a treat for myself, but it would make the perfect gift for anyone who does fiber art.

Super sad about this product. When the package arrived I was excited and couldn't wait to use these beautiful scissors. Upon opening the box, I discovered that the chain was broken. It actually looked like an entire section was torn out or missing. The sticker on the box read that this was a new product. Disappointed yet hopeful I sent them back, requesting a new pair. Of course, Amazon's return and replace policy is fantastic, and I received another pair within days. When I opened the package, I was thrilled that the beautiful scissors worked well, slipped beautifully in and out of the case. My heart was happy. I put them around my neck and began my sewing project. Within an hour the chain broke. There was no harm done to the chain, it simply slid off my neck, and I saw that the chain broke. The company definitely has an issue with the quality of the chain used.

I really like these scissors as they are handy when I am long alarming. They're sharp and the sheets from which to keep them is always within reach. They are a bit heavy but if you're wearing a collared shirt you don't notice them at all. I purchased a second set for a friend.

I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my best friend. She was thrilled to see it, but as we took it out of the box we noticed the chain was broken. Looks like a piece was actually missing. I see another review on the site with the same problem and I wonder if they just keep reselling this same broken pair of scissors or if this is a major malfunction. I won't be replacing it.

The pendant itself is nice. But the "33" chain" was just a small and broken piece!!!
