German U-boat Ace Carl Emmermann: The Patrols of U-172 in World War II (German U-Boat Ace, 5)

The translation from German is poor. Translator did not know Naval terminology. Continually uses ranges to contacts in feet, such as 9,345 feet. There are some other Naval terminologies difficulties, but while irritating they do not detract from the value of this book.

Love this book. Lots of unknown photos and in-depth account of commander, crew and patrols.
