Nice Multi-Purpose Iron
This is a great iron. I like that you can use it with or without steam and it has so many settings to choose from that you can't help but find the perfect one for your job. I used the cotton setting and a dry iron to press hems, seams, and headers on 20 curtain panels and 4 valances. It held up nicely! It is also very light weight. For doing this big job it was nice not to have to lift an iron as heavy as my old one. I'm kinda glad that the old one bit the dust before I started this work so that I had a better one to use. The controls are easy to use once you read the instructions. The settings for the fabrics are right on the heel of the iron and the dial works great to select the option you want. There is a separate dial for the steam and a button for a quick burst. I haven't used those features yet so I can't speak as to how well they work, but I will update when I've had a chance to test it out. As for longevity, I am sure it will last a long time with normal use if it held up so well under the job I just put it through. Terrific iron and I highly recommend it!

A very affordable iron for your crafting needs.
I was looking for a light weight iron for my crafting needs, this iron is perfect. The iron is not big and clunky. This iron is the perfect size to press my seams open when sewing a pieced Quilt. Please note, this iron gets hot quickly and it says hot! Yes, there is no auto shut-off or cooling down of the iron when you put it down. This feature is exactly what I wanted in an iron.I want an iron that stays consistently hot while piecing/sewing my Quilt squares. Also, I have used it with water for the steam feature, which works nicely, just don't over fill the iron with water. Either way, dry or steam works well. For the price, this iron is perfect for my crafting needs without spending lots of money like those high end, fancy irons just to press open sewing seams. Also, I don't experience my arm getting tired because this iron is very light which is a plus.

Great basic steam iron at a budget price!
In spite of the negative reviews, I purchased this iron primarily to use in our travel trailer because it is lightweight. For a basic iron, with no shot of steam, it heats up quickly and does a wonderful job! It gets hot enough to press cotton/linen that I use for quilting. I don't need a lot of steam, but I do need the heat. This little gem does the trick for me!If you have found this iron doesn't get hot, or spits water out through the steam holes, then your iron is likely defective. This is a great little iron.

A great iron for the price.
This iron is smaller than my old one which is basically this manufacturers models big sister. It works well for my need and does the job. I got it for the price and I am very satisfied. I wish I had rave reviews but it's a basic economy iron that works well and that's all. No fancy bells and whistles. The rotary dial to adjust the temperature is a little hard to read. It has a spray feature for water you add and a steam feature. That being said, this iron is a great deal and will work well for you if your on a budget. I do recommend it.

Decent for the price..may require adjustment to your 'ironing' style
Works alright. It gets hot soon which is good. The size is a lil smaller but it works for me as it increases the portability. The steam action works fine as long as you follow the instructions. I always set it to high steam mode (on the dial) so that it gives even steam. As others have noted, If the water level is full and if you move the iron with even the slightest of jerks water may spill out. Again, as others have noted the water it spilled stained by shirt (with a very light blue color) guess it was the sub-standard quality of paint used on the plastic parts or could be the paint melting off the plastic components on the first heating experience. However, on subsequent uses, didn't see that happening. Even if the water spilled it didn't leave any stains. One other thing is, water 'vaporized' very quickly and you need to refill if you are planning on ironing more than 2 pairs at a time. May be its coz i use the steam at a high settingOverall its a decent buy for the price. It gets hot quick, does a good job and has multiple dial setting depending on the fabric. Comes with basic instructions. Made of good quality cable and attachments. You just need to be careful with the way you 'maneuver' the iron and also watch out for the first few spills which may add 'unnecessary' colors to your dress.

Very Lightweight, and Good!
My wife does alterations professionally. She loves that this is only a pound (her other one is four). It’s smaller and greatly maneuverable, and it does a great job. She never uses the normal, heavier one anymore. The light weight has been good for her arm and shoulder. She is very pleased, and she’s hard to please on these things. Happy!
