We came upon this supplement years ago when we visited an alternative healing clinic in Oceanside, CA. My husband was going through a severe depression and part of the treatment prescribed was supplementing with specific amino acids, vitamins and lithium orotate. Many years went by, and we pretty much forgot about it with time and change, as people do.Recently, with all life's challenges I found myself getting into a rather severe funk, as did my husband. I thought back to what the doctor prescribed so long ago and looked it up. The results people report are pretty amazing. I ordered a bottle here and we both began 'dosages' yesterday. I'm posting this already because we each felt an uplift after only a couple of hours after taking the first dose. Woke up this morning feeling very well rested after a deep sleep (both of us.) So, we are already getting a positive result using this supplement. For me it feels kind of like having a weight lifted off of my shoulders with a slight 'smiley feeling'. I certainly hope that it stays this way. So far, no side effects. Taking it with food and plenty of water. We also try to maintain a rather strict mostly organic diet. It is proven to help with suicidal thoughts too. It seems to help the deep dark depression, but he still struggles with they low level "blah" depression. We are currently looking into other natural options to add to this pill to support his positive mood. If I had to choose ONE thing that he could have to help his disorder though, it would definitely be these little suppliments!

I purchased the lithium orotate after reading Aspen Morrow's book "Med Free Bipolar." I use it in addition to medication and other supplements. It does not interact with medication. It's easy to swallow, has no flavor that I can tell, and helps me sleep better. I find it best to take at night because, during the day, it can make one feel tired and unmotivated. Please read Aspen's book before attempting to use it. A great addition to any treatment plan. Also helps with anxiety.

I take 3 per day. Dramatically improves my cognitive function and eliminates my depression. Took me about 2 weeks to notice a difference. If I stop taking it, symptoms return in about 2 weeks. Everybody is different so don't rely on my dosage. I am not a physician so I'm not giving you medical advice. Just my personal experience. Chalky but small pills. A miracle for me in many ways. I take multiple medications for mental health conditions, so I can't quite speak to the efficacy of this tablet for mood. However since I added it to my supplement regimen, I have had a lot less "up and down" mood swings. My doctor suggested micro-dosing lithium long term to prevent Alzheimer's onset.. limited research on the topic but I'm willing to try. I cut the tablets in half for a total of 2.3mg elemental lithium daily. For 400 doses, this is a great price!! Will definitely purchase again when I run out.
