I don't know how to fairly review this item. It was well packaged and easy to use. I just did not like the taste at all. But maybe this is the way it is supposed to taste. I was copying a bakery recipe that did not specify the brand, but it is very much not the same taste so maybe American bakeries in my area use a different brand. But the texture was appropriate. So I guess since it technically worked and the box was pretty, I should give it a 5.

Top quality and works well to make baklava or khnafe

The roasted vermicelli has a very nice traditional flavor and cooks easily. I really enjoyed the taste and texture. My only concern is about manufacturing hygiene, since I’ve seen videos of similar products being packed manually on the floor. I hope Shan follows strict cleanliness and quality standards. Overall, a good product, but I would feel more confident with more transparency about production practices.

If you are addicted to Kheer like I am, get this and add some cooked basmati. Will tie you over til next trip to restaurant. Experiment getting the boiling time right. Too little is runny. Too much is pasty pudding. Great flavor though.

Waste of money! Very, very little strawberry flavor with a bit of pink color, mostly cornstarch. Was looking for a strawberry flan mix substitute, since that is no longer available, but this had little strawberry flavor. Very disappointed.
