Does what it says!
This is my second purchase of the OXA filter. I followed the instructions, cleaned all the parts, soaked the filter for 15 minutes, and discarded the first 3 fills ups. I timed how long it takes for a full basin to move to the lower jug, 4 minutes and 41 seconds. Not bad, I wouldn’t want a super fast process, because it should take a while to properly filter. I decided to compare the ph levels against the acidic tap water we get from our well, and also against bottled water. As you can see from the pictures, there was zero change in water hardness between the 3 water samples. The ph of the OXA filtered water read around 7, which is a lot better than my tap water at 6.0-6.5, and a slight improvement from bottled water than read 6.5. So this pitcher does improve alkalinity, you may get more alkaline water if you are starting with less acidic water as mine. On taste test, this OXA filter completely removed the metallic taste of our tap water, and tasted identical to the bottled water. As far as pouring, the spout can be a little fussy, pouring slow at first and then suddenly fast, I just keep my finger on the spout lid to ensure a steady pour. As far as durability, I still have the one I purchased 11 months ago and it’s in perfect condition, but I haven’t dropped it either. Overall, I think this is a great water filtration system for the price!

Pathetic design
This will work for you IF you only drink a little water, you don't mind it room temp and you have plenty of time loading it and pouring it. I have spilled a quart in 3 days. It has no opening for air to replace the outgoing water, so it doesn't pour well and basically squirts water everywhere. If you pour a glass full, you have to immediately load it again so you keep the filter in the water. The main jug cracked in the 4th day of use right next to the handle. I didn't sign up for their 2 year warranty and I didn't ask for a refund. I simply threw the whole thing in the trash, including the extra filter and the box it all came it. I didn't ever want to see it again.

Water amount not as advertised
I ordered the Oxa Large 10 cup 2.5 liter water filter pitcher and received it the next day...4/23/19 so delivery was excellent!! However, after I followed instructions to soak the filter 15 minutes and install in the bottom of the reservoir, I ran water 4 times through the filter to clear debris, etc. as instructed. I then filled the reservoir with water until the water level in the pitcher after filtration came up to the top of the filter itself, and the max level in the pitcher as far as I can tell...the amount of water held is just under 48 ounces which is 6 cups. Unless I misunderstand something, the actual capacity is FAR less than is printed on the box and advertised on-line on Amazon. I haven't tasted or tested the water with my HM TDS meter yet, but I am really disappointed with actual amount of water the pitcher holds. If someone can explain what I am missing, it would be appreciated. If not, then I will leave my 1 star rating.

Great bang for your buck. Legit, and not too alkaline, truly transforms water!
This is an amazing little guy. It's in the blue of an acidity/alkaline test strip, meaning it won't throw your body out of wack being "too alkaline" but it's alkaline enough to be good for daily use. The water coming out of my faucet in Miami is sometimes brownish in hue, and this thing makes it CRYSTAL CLEAR, and TASTY! I did have to work my way into using this because the first week my body wasn't use to the alkaline water and it will make you run to the bathroom a lot or have a bit of an upset tummy if you try to do too much alkaline water too fast. Now I'm a month in, and it's all I drink. It has gotten rid of this heavy bloated feeling I've had, and it has honestly somehow balanced out my food cravings!!! I googled it to see if I was imagining it, but I'm not. It's a real thing with alkaline diet and/or water. It balances out your blood sugar. I've recommended this to two people already. I kind of like that it's small, it keeps it fresh, not stagnant.

Frustrating spout.
The media could not be loaded. The most frustrating pitcher to pour. It filters water good but it’s not an easy pour. Also it’s a pretty small pitcher over all. Takes two refills for a liter water bottle.

2.5 STARS, and here's why
The water itself is good. The problem lies with the design being so unthought-out. The major issues I have are a follows:1. No way for it to breathe/equalize when you're pouring. Results in massive gurgles when the air finally gets vacuumed in under pressure. This results in water shooting out of the spout in all directions like a water gun.2. The unfiltered water reservoir slides out with ease, so much ease that when you are pouring water the entire filter assembly comes out. This results in around 2 liters of water on your floor. That being said, the water tastes good.

Well made
It’s smaller than I anticipated, but overall a great product. Easy to follow the setup directions. Very Sturdy and well made. This is for a single person - not for family use.I’m still getting used to the taste of the water for now. It is different. I will update later as I continue to use it.

Beware
I only bought this recently. I just put in my second filter and shortly thereafter I started getting an upset stomach. Nothing in my diet changed and I wasn’t sick. Then I noticed that the filter and white holder where the water flows through had a black film on it. I washed it weekly but it came back almost immediately. I stopped using this and and stomach is fine. I had no trouble with the first filter.I don’t like leaving bad reviews but I thought this was important.
