Works well for tremors
I have Parkinson's and it was getting harder for me to handle regular silverware. These weighted utensils help me keep my food on my fork and spoon. The knives are great because they use a rocking motion to cut. I also like the fact that these look like regular utensils instead of the ones with bulky plastic handles. I can use these at any dinner and not feel like people will watch me.

Just what "the Doctor had in mind." Perfect.
Solid pieces, with gleaming "food end" and matt handles. And HEAVY? You bet. If these don't make eating easier in patients with tremor, nothing will. Also, the spoons have different bowl shapes. Good for going after the last few kernels of corn or a decent mouthful of soup. The two forks are different lengths so you have a choice. Bought 2 sets. One for home, and one for the shore.Very happy with my selection.

Very heavy, requires a different hold method
These are good looking weighted utensils. Shiny and sleek. For me, specifically, they did help a bit with the ET, but I found my customary, lifelong utensil grip style is challenged by the heavyweight handles. For me, the weight causes the unit to slip down, out of my hand. I can't grip firmly enough to prevent it, and have to constantly readjust. Maybe the weight needs to be at the closer to the business end of the utensil? Also, if you're using a rimmed slightly deep plate, when I rested the utensil on the plate between bites, the weight pulled it into the food, including the handle. Still, it was worth a try, and I'm truly happy for all who have had success with these.

Perfect for Parkinson’s tremors
My 65 year old mother has Parkinson’s. Her tremors were to the point that I noticed she wasn’t getting her food to her mouth and would give up on eating out of frustration. So I bought these, and she uses them every day at every meal. Since they are heavy, it slows the tremor and she can actually eat her food. I’m so thankful for this product. It’s hard to watch someone you love struggle with a basic daily activity, so finding a solution as simple as this set of utensils was literally life changing for her. I highly recommend these if you are facing the same issue.

Almost Perfect...
After reading the reviews of many similar products on Amazon, I decided to try this set for a 75 year old member of the family with very unsteady hands. After over a month of use, the family member (who is very critical) is mostly pleased with the set.The only issue at this point, are the spoons. If you look at the photo (the spoons from this set are on the left and regular silverware is on the right) this set includes a tablespoon and soup spoon size, but no teaspoon to eat cereal etc with.Aside from the lack of a teaspoon, the set has been great. It blends in at the dinner table and could easily be taken to a restaurant and used discreetly. These also have been washed by hand, as well as in the dishwasher and show no signs of rust or problems with the finish. One thing to be aware of when considering these for someone is the weight. They are heavy. So, make sure the person you are buying these for has the hand strength to handle them. You also want to be careful and quick if you drop them as they could break a toe or more.As a reference, I weighed each one on a digital scale and the weights are below:Fork: 6.7 oz.Knife: 6.8 oz.Tablespoon: 7.3 oz.Soup Spoon: 7.2 oz.As of now, if the set came with a teaspoon it would have gotten 5 stars. I hope the manufacturer adds one to the set in the future.

It does work
I got this for my mom who has Parkinson. Her hands are very shaky and it is hard for her to eat. I got this with little hope, I had to admit. I'm happy to say that it does work. I asked my mon, from 1 to 10, how much does this help you? She gave it an 8. She can now be more independent and eat without constantly dropping her food. She feels much less frustrated and more confident. It's not that the tremors will disappear, but it will help to control them. In my opinion, it's worth giving it a try.

COULDN'T BELIEVE IT TIL I SAW MY MOM TRY IT
My moms' Occupational Therapist suggested weighted utensils to help her eat more easily because it helps stabilize her hand more. She had some samples with her for my mom to try and we noticed a difference only it was heavier and for this reason we didn't purchase from the same manufacturer as what she had suggested. I looked on Amazon and found the Linelax Utensils were lighter and it made a big difference for her. We love the quality and feel of the product. We appreciate the fact that this product exists for people with tremors. Thank you!!!

Brother loves them
Brought for my brother who was having trouble eating with normal silverware. These are heavy enough to steady his hand so his food goes in his mouth not the floor.
